I can't find a suitable screen protector so I just grab one that is big enough to cover most of the screen. That's why I'm desperate for the Mi Fan Festival. I bought Mi 3 screen protector n casing too

Consider the hardwork to order n collect in SG. 469 not bad actually. Don't forget there's official warranty too.
If buy from reseller really hard to tell the warranty n support. Sometimes end up with modified rom, like my set. |

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Apr 11 2014, 03:03 PM) I was thinking like that also... that's y I'm willing to play the waiting game and also see more review b4 making a move... I bought an iPad mostly for the apps, video / surfing, long hour operation and the easy plug n display to VGA Projector.Buy a IOS tablet or handphone...? In fact I like MIUI a lot more than iOS 7. Hopefully Xiaomi will release Mi Tablet one day. Alternatively u can also get a Google Nexus 7 2nd Generation and flash MIUI Tablet Rom. But it is still beta stage so expect bugs. |

Around 10GB after installation of OS & apps.
I don't listen music on phone much so I have plenty of space to use. In fact I never finished up all 16GB in normal condition. The only time it become full is because I load a lot of drama / anime for travelling but I usually put them into my iPad instead. Watching movies on phone drain the battery like drinking water. With my usual slightly high quality setting, 1 photo only 3-5MB, it will takes around 1-2 thousands photos to finished the memory. Before it fills up the memory, the phone and gallery will first suffer from serious lag due to the amount of pictures. btw, mi cloud is free and it comes with phone tracker, contact backup, photos, sms backup too. one stop solution without multiple apps This post has been edited by B-Mecha: Apr 29 2014, 12:17 PM |

Micloud is pretty friendly, u can set it to sync / upload only when u r connected to WiFi.
First they gave me 5GB free, then another 5GB. If I login every month, they will give me additional storage (1GB if not mistaken). Currently I'm enjoying 10GB Overall I appreciate MIUI a lot thanks to most of the important features I need are built in. Anti virus, memory management, traffic controller, alarm / clock, flash light, cloud, phone tracker... are my favourite And I'm damn picky about having smooth responsive UI. I wouldn't choose Mi 3 if it doesn't come with MIUI. So far it is doing a good job here |

To be honest, I'm not sure how good is Huawei's phone UI, but I'm very sure if their phone become popular, eventually Xiaomi will port the MIUI to the phone. If Xiaomi really want to play the "who sell more phone in short time" game, we won't even wait our neck long here. All the shops will have a few set ready long time ago.
At the end? Spec is just a endless red sea game. Xiaomi doesn't need massive marketing budget and a bunch of retailers. What they have is solid crazy Mi Fans, even if they are holding Samsung, Nexus, HTC, Huawei etc... In terms of phone's profit, going through supplier and retailer will reduce the profit. While Xiaomi sell directly from their site to the user, they can spend more on the phone quality and also keep more profit in their own pocket. Sell less, higher profit margin and higher user satisfaction. Btw, Xiaomi is a software / service company, their real income is from the services provided by MIUI. The moment user switch to MIUI, they become the winner. |

Since I don't play game or movie for long so I can't really feel it. But it does get a bit warm when I play game with physics calculation, just nice when I'm in a cold room
But I watch 2 episode of anime (480p, MKV files) and I don't feel much heat... |

QUOTE(donhue @ May 7 2014, 03:21 PM) My friend who recommended me to Xiaomi has used it since Mi2.. no issues so far.. To be honest, when I was searching in Low Yat. 9 out of 10 don't even know what is Xiaomi. Some sales replied "Power Bank?", most of them just laugh it off.Maybe the shop ppl doesn't want you to buy Xiaomi.. coz you'll end up buying online thus they won't have any profit.. I started my MI 3 mid March 2014. So far so good. Even I dropped it like 2 times, and one time my friend dropped it WITHOUT CASING I believe luck play a big part in dropping any phone. At least I'm happy to have a stronger bond with my Mi 3 |
