I dont think whoever gonna buy need to worry about reseller, as Xiaomi style is that they sell through their own website. There might not even be a physical official shop. But I do hope there'll be a service center here in malaysia instead only in SG.
*
yes. whoever buying from reseller already forgone their warranty and services in mind before they decide to buy Xiaomi.

For Xiaomi business model, service centre will be setup but limited just like in China. only service centre at major cities.

another thing to note, the current Mi3 that is coming to SG and MY doesnt have support for LTE..
*
Yes. a lot of users expecting Xiaomi Mi3 uses Snapdragon 800 8974AB chipset (support LTE, which the founder promised during conference. Now its put 8X74AB chipset in their spec).

When Mi3 start selling, there's no announcement on use of 8274AB chipset, many users only found out after they ran the test. Xiaomi offer full refund to unhappy user. since then, no more noise.

Perhaps, Xiaomi will gives SG a surprise using 8974AB chipset since SG now have LTE! meanwhile the reason Xiaomi falls back to 8274AB chipset due to China no LTE yet!

haha... dreaming! icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Feb 20 2014, 11:29 AM)

When come to Mi3, I think is about cheap hardware. I remember 64GB when they released in China convert to MYR is like RM1.5k.
*
Prices are searchable online! no need to guess.

RMB 2,499 (64GB) times 0.55 rate = RM 1,374

RMB 1,999 (16GB) times 0.55 rate = RM 1,099.45
SGD419 (16GB) times 2.65 rate = RM 1,110.35 (pls note, SGD419 might / might not include GST of 7%)

im expecting Malaysia Xiaomi Mi3 prices will be around RM1111 since buying online directly from Xiaomi.

So, that is why I said this Mi3 is a good grab for the price we paying for. Since technology move so fast, we would be just end up 1-3years change another new handset. Or even worst, get stolen as you know, stolen phone case increase every year.

This year 2014 3G still not yet fully cover, if I'm not mistaken 3G was annouced somewhere near 2005, it was like 9years ago, so if we really want LTE to be like today 3G covered places. Means? another 10years for that.

64GB for XiaoMi high spec hardware smartphone for just 1.3K based on China price conversion, are you serious bro? is a no brain choice. brows.gif

really hope to see the promo Xiaomi Powerbank 10400maH will be here too.

saw post in taiwan, order overwhelming ! 345NT, around RM 35 only!!!!!!!
*
im using it now! awesome! Brought it RMB89 (RMB79 +RMB10 shipping) instead from Xiaomi official reseller (Tmall) with ready stock!

on other hand, i have this plan in mind since im flying to SG end of March. Brought AA zero fare long time ago!

Xiaomi Mi3 selling SGD419 (included 7% GST).
Buy Mi3 from Starhub (prepaid package) SGD419 (RM1,110.35) and claims back refund 7% SGD29.33 (assume rate at RM2.65 @ RM77.72), net price = RM1,032.63.

hehe... icon_rolleyes.gif

IF they have ready stock by end of March. Looking at the Hongmi at the moment, it is tough to predict.
anyway I might be going there as well 2nd week of April.

Wonder how much those top 3 shops will sell their AP MI3 by end of march/ early april  icon_idea.gif

that's my ideal thinking / plan.
not yet take into any unusual incidents.
just pray hard then.

Just a heads up. The shipping charge is quite high, compare to agent in this forum. Lowest is only RM9 per KG. Not an agent myself but just to inform. smile.gif

thanks for head up.

rm9 - rm12 is for normal goods shipping only, phone are classified as sensitive goods which are air shipping prohibited by right.

rm31 those are called sensitive goods shipping method, e.g if buy sth got magnet, sxx toy, etc. but no paying customs tax and not an official channel. the shipper are mixing sensitive goods with normal goods pack together, hoping to bypass customs inspection. therefore no 100% guarantee passing out. there has been case reporting in other forum ppl paying sensitive goods fees but end up hold by customs.
*
oh yeah! sensitive goods! my cari reseller did mentions this!

now i know why im paying RM31 for my XiaoMi power banks!

Quite reasonable for those who can't wait for tomorrow's launch in SG.

But i'm sure that stocks will be finished in 2 minutes or faster.

correction: stocks will be finished in seconds! laugh.gif

its stranger that nobody knows how many units are on sale for Singapore market!

so, it can be 1,000 / 999 or 5,000 or 10,000 units.... since Xiaomi is practicing hunger strategy, they wont selling more than 10,000 units per batch for Singapore.

even in China, each batch only 10,000.

so for SG, its might be just less than 5,000 units. just wild guess.
