Good but just want to try something different so trading won't lose money. Now using LG G2. Will post my comparison in a few days. Next month will trade again either LG G2 or Nexus 5 with something else depending on what's available. Consider I loan the phone for 1-2 months then will try another phone.
Straight away I can say the MIUI room is much smoother compared to LG. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 12 2014, 03:01 PM |

QUOTE(Chyan @ Apr 12 2014, 05:38 PM) Nope. I'm actually doing an assignment on Xiaomi as it is promising for them to venture here. Looking forward to future Xiaomi mi3s and mi4.Also just in from yesterday: http://www.techinasia.com/xiaomis-hugo-bar...-stop-malaysia/ Hugo Barra is a huge asset to Xiaomi for the coming times. |

QUOTE(chidori @ Apr 14 2014, 01:01 PM) any information around when xiaomi will be arriving malaysia? Doesn't make sense to buy from Singapore anymore unless you stay there. Retailers are selling even cheaper here and offers local warranty.considering whether should wait or just go get SG set This post has been edited by DannyOP: Apr 14 2014, 03:27 PM |

Waiting is forever as every month got news of new handphone from various manufacturer. Just get what u can afford now. By the time mi3s is here it could be another 6 months judging from how long mi3 is taking. By then mi3s already outdated to other faster phones.

Yes because for the same price they can get 2 years local warranty it doesn't make sense to buy Singapore set.

in terms of speed, the mi3 is faster than the G2 in actual usage and in benchmarks .. the rom is very similar to Nexus 5 in terms of simplicity, speed and regular updates (once a week) but with the outlook of iPhone.
Camera wise the stock software has a bit of focusing problem indoors but I notice newer updates have improved it. I will see if I have time to post some pics taken by mi3. In terms of storage G2 has more ie. 32GB if you buy from most retailers, but Mi3 supports USB OTG by default. QUOTE(sitescope @ Apr 16 2014, 04:49 PM) How warranty works for China phone ? if not mistaken, if something happen, they send it back to China instead of repairing it here... They will request the co. to send the damaged parts for replacement, if cannot be fixed they will replace a brand new unit. I exchanged 1 unit of Mi3 on the spot when I was not satisfied with the screen (had led bleed), Directd just changed it for me. |

There's a promotion at Lowyat Plaza this week, iPro phones.. surprisingly they are using the same body as Xiaomi Mi3 and Xiaomi Mi2s.. but internals entry level dual core MTK selling for RM399 and RM499. They are also using MIUI rom.
