this is not HTC faults... its the camera module manufacturers fault...

HTC is the first to use ultrapixel on a smart phone... in which it excels in night photography ...

Look at it this way... If the product from the camera manufacture isn't ready for deployment..  Why the hell they release to consumers?  Or in this case HTC .  HTC themself also didn't know the problem until it exist when some users complaint about it..

HTC has taken responsibility to replace all defective cameras... you are lucky to get the replacement... if htc were to not take any responsibility... you wont even get your replacement

about the customer service... i have talked about it before...

it is not HTC taiwan's fault... IT IS HTC MALAYSIA fault....  other countries HTC is so friendly and helpful.... the officer is the one that take all your enquiries...

if you get a good officer to help you ... then thats fine ... if you get those kurang ajar type officer... then you memang very unlucky...

You guys didn't send your device straight to BTS?  All use courier?  I still remember last time I dropped my HTC ONE X,  the touch screen malfunctioned but the screen did not show any sign of Crack (lucky me).  Brought my device to HTC Centre and they told me I can collect my phone in 1 week time.  So the next Friday I went to TS again to collect my phone and they told me the part haven't arrived yet,  and told me to wait another 1 week.  After dunno how many weeks I received a message from them asking me to collect the phone from them. I was expecting my old phone back but they gave me a new one.  I'm not complaining or anything but if you are not fixing the phone at the first place,  why didn't you just give the replacement phone lol.  Funny ppl

Few days? Can be few weeks or months. Prepare for that.

The first phone that get me shock was HTC Diamond, I'm still keep in my drawer, and the next was HTC New One.

Sincere to say that, if keep complaint the camera issue, why don't just drop by the SC and send the phone for repair? Believe me, My camera was fixed now and I'm satisfy with it.

mine is 1- st vd6869(1.0) cinesensor 2013-05-09 but still having the purplish.. compared with my friend's One (rooted and on 4.3) he 3x worst than me..

yours sent and perfectly repaired? still monitor and waiting, 3-4 weeks quite too long for me..

Right. Could be mainboard problem too. My friend get her Note2 main board replaced in order to fix the charging problem.

It looks like a fabulous phone. But one thing (apart from the camera) is that the processor is second tier now compared to the snapdragon 800 found on the Xperia Z1. I tried both- the One is smooth, but in google maps you can feel a slight lag. In the Z1 it's flawlessly smooth, like iPhone territory smooth.

All that being said I think I still prefer the One.

I asked directd, they don't do 1 for 1 exchanges. Do you know anyone who does?
