That's really fast. How long does your phone last though? Mine charged to full faster now compared to when I bought it. it used up faster too. I guess my battery already Kong and need to be changed.
Guys, can I claim warranty if I have dropped my phone?
I hope HTC is not like apple who don't recognize warranty if got cosmetic damage. sweat.gif
*
How old is your phone? That is quite fast for a battery to kong?

They won't honour the warranty for cosmetic damage due to user fault unless your bezel / screen suddenly popped up then it is a different story all together.

Finally, send my one to warranty. But here not practice like taiwan with 1 to 1 exchange due to purple tint issue. They will open up the back cover and replace the faulty camera, bit worry
*
If within 14 days you can claim for 1 to 1 but alas, it will take them 2 weeks to replace it.

Last time, SIS SLA was 3 days. No matter how hard, either completed or not, they will call you within 3 days. Now, 2 weeks... doh.gif

And there is communication breakdown between the SC and CS as reported by other users. And you are allowed to call CS not SC directly...

I did lodged a complaint and request 1 to 1, unfortunately, no stock and I have to wait for it. Called them after 4 days and the CS mentioned that the technical is till accessing my phone. WTF, a quick burst from me then they admitted of wrong information... how can the tech access my phone if I'm using it to call them hahahahah... Still left a few days before my next call...

I bought in June. Dropped it but the gap is not caused by drop. My camera got purple tint, my battery is faulty. Maybe because of heat. I left it in car under hot sun once sad.gif
*
You can ask them to check the battery as well. They should cover it as there is no user intervene to that part.

How to check on the spot?
Do they give the replacement on the spot?
Once the seal is broken we have to send the thing for warranty right?
*
To minimize your chances getting a faulty unit, try to get the latest batch by looking at the serial number. That is the only thing you can do before breaking the seal but it is not a 100% guarantee you will get a good unit.

I heard within 14 days, they will replace one to one for you. Make a deal with seller first. I check my box. No serial or imei stick outside unless you open it.
*
That is a weird packaging. It must have serial number, IMEI etc. sticker at the box. The 14 days replacement policy applied to HTC and not the seller, seller may assist you to get a replacement but they still need to lodge a complaint to HTC. They will marked your unit as DOA.

I call htc operator today. After provide the imei, and they asked me to wait for five mins. Then the answer is "technician still assess your phone, please call back next Monday."

After one week, still assessing... I make it very clear just purple tint problem. What kind of assessment? I can sense they simply answered for the sake of responding.

Wait until next week, my phone will be two weeks in service center.

Heheheh, at least your phone is with them. My case, same reply as yours but the phone is with me. They just simply picked the answer from the sky.

First, the camera defect, we dont care about their vendor. If they come to me and tell me such bullshit sure I am going to scold them. We just deal with HTC. By hook or by crook, they have to fix it and dont tell about grand mother story. You are very kind person and tolerate widely.

Second, it is very unlucky to us already when the phone has defect problem. The phone is under warranty, it is their responsibility to fix it. Dont they come to me and tell us we are lucky because they willing to replace something under warranty. Big joker.

The HTC Operator in Malaysia speaks really good, talk very politely... sounds very professional. But they donno your problem. Every question you ask, they will ask you to hold 5 mins. (They need to call SC and check). Ask 2nd question, hold another 5 mins. What is that mean? They dont know the status. If you ask more, they will said "Kindly call back next 3 days and I will update you the status". No SLA, no status, you never know what is wrong with you phone. That could be they just put your phone aside and do something else. Letting you wait for few weeks.

I have my experience with SIS Penang. I brought my HTC Diamond 2 over there. They diagnosed and told me to take back and use first to wait for spare part arrival. When spare part arrived, they called me to send my phone, then tell me 3 days to fix the problem. After 3 days, i called to check status, and they said my LCD has been fixed and can come and collect. This is the service we want.

I dont totally blame htc service center. I blame myself too. I should check if SIS Penang still exist before decide to buy.

This was their service level 2 years ago but they are not very competent during that time. Sent my phone for RMA twice and sold it off after due to frustration with HTC empty promises. Never knew lightning can strike twice at the same spot; faced a similar issue with HO.

I thought you incline more on Nexus Series biggrin.gif

Still have the nexus, just wanted to try htc flagship due to premium material and features. I must say, it was the shortest ownership of experience so far.... A record!

Guys, after it came out off SC, the phone will be factory reset right?
How about apps that I bought from Google Play Store? Do I need to buy them back? I spent USD 50 already before sending to SC
*
Your paid apps are linked with your google email. It does not care what phone u r using or etc.

Go to your low light room, point your camera to white paint wall or area. Then you will know if you hit pink spot problem as mine.

What you mean no biggie? Is that mean something cannot be fixed and normal? And dont need to to send back for repairing?
*
Well, for ultrapixel camera.... I'm not sure. Do you think the HTC highly sensitive sensors is not worth to have this flaw? If yes, then by all means send for RMA.

I was in your shoe last time when having SGSII, I bought it at 2.8K. The first few of people having the unit in Malaysia. Best camera at that time but had pink spot. There was a hoo hah all over the internet about this flaw but Samsung did not accept it as flaw. We have to live with it. Owning other brand after that also having the same issue. So, for me, it is a normal thing.
