Yes, it is from trying yourself that you'll learn things.
Even Windows Media Player 10 can play DVD

And thread moved to Multimedia

sorry to bring up old post...me had similar probs like u...each time i try to play dvd, me can only hear sound without picture...

tested on powerdvd, nero show time...all same! got sound but no pic...when me did power dvd system diagnostic....it display nothing..only black screen...btw, those pic can be only seen instantly when moving mouse pointer around it..the pic is kindda flashy..then become blank aagain....

the only way for me to watch dvd is using vlc media player, which me kindda hate it sweat.gif

another probs is when me wacthing movie (avi,divx..etc) at media player classic then me pause it...when continue, smtime the pic will disappear but still got sound...its either me need to zoom it to full screen or small screen then the pic will appear back again...

i am using dell 6400 with xp home edition..installed with all latest codec...n this is my 1st time having this kind of probs...any1 can help?

uninstall Nero/Power DVD, and dl the free K-lite and see, I think there might be some codec conflict in ur PC, and after install Klite, if still cant work, try to run Sherlock, included in Klite, to check the installed codecs status
