I love how some are already saying Nintendo is doomed for putting a grumpy non-gamer bureaucratic old man on the throne..

He is business minded sure, but also had a part on a few games.
Since he used to be in Murica for quite a while, I think he has a pretty good idea on how to approach the market after this.

I doubt you'll see him much on Ninty direct or any Ninty videos like Iwata or Reggie

I don't have much faith for an ex-banker to steer a video game company in this turmoil time

my bet is Mr.Tatsumi Kimishima is gonna be a temporary solution ... in close future someone will replace his position

^that's pretty obvious, expecting him to helm the company about 5 years before retiring....
the next one most likely shinya takahashi if they want to do another dev -> boss

edit: looks like for now, he's only appointed for a year... probably will continue for another few years if the shareholders are quite happy with him and the next one hasn't been groom well enough yet
