Hi guys, I'm out to shop for a watch as a birthday present for my partner.
Been looking at ladies TAG aquaracer, it looks good enough for me but sadly it's a quartz and going for close to 5k.
Aside from TAG, I went to look at Tudor as well, size is good but the bezel and bracelet puts me off.
Oris has some good automatic watch like Oris Artelier going for 4k+. I then went and look at some Longines too, generally it looks okay an with automatic movement.
I'm quite spilt between choice, I like how tha aquaracer looks but I prefer it to have automatic movement..
Which is the better choice? Longines?

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Oct 15 2013, 02:47 PM) Nothing wrong with quartz. Do your partner wear a watch all the time? My wife don't wear one during the weekends and after working hours so its quite a chore to set the time again on monday mornings. Is she into dive watches? Sometimes what appeals to males is very different to what appeals to ladies. I think there's a Omega Constellation quartz model for ladies that's in the ballpark of your 5K budget. True also on the part of frequency of wearing a watch. I'll drop by omega in a bit.

Went and checked out the omega. It's quite good but price is about 6k+. The boutique is giving 9% discount only.
The longines actually quite good as well, automatic movement and going for 5k+.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Oct 15 2013, 11:01 PM) I'm pretty sure your partner will appreciate the conti more Its quite a timeless piece. Aside from the Constellation, went and checked out the Seamaster Aqua Terra. It was quite good as well. Probably, might go for that.
