Is it really have to go branch only can create the online account?
So time wasting and the nearest UOB branch to my area is quite far.

I've used my VOX card last month and spend it online for some purchase of RM190 through paypal. My statement date was 23rd.
Normally when will the cash rebate being given? end of last month or end of this month instead? |

QUOTE(fly126 @ Sep 9 2013, 12:07 PM) If the accumulated cash rebate given for the month is RM5 or more, the cash rebate will be credited in the current month and reflected in the following month’s Statement of Account. If the accumulated cash rebate given for the month is less than RM5, such amount will be brought forward to the following month for accumulation. yup, i saw the TnC. Hence from my understanding it should be given to me already. If so I only need to pay my statement amount minus the cash rebate if so.Can Refer to, UOB VOX CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS: http://www1.uob.com.my/assets/pdf/tnc/ccTN...d_Cash_Back.pdf |

QUOTE(nothingz @ Sep 9 2013, 12:54 PM) the rebate will be given either by end of this month or beginning of next month. rebate is calculated on calendar month basis. now the min spending to get the 5% rebate is RM50 IINM I achieved the min spending of RM50. I used my card for a transaction of RM190 online at early aug and my statement is 23rd. From the tnc, it says as long you hit the RM5 min cash rebate, it will shown in your account at end of the month. Unfortunately, I don't have UOB online account so I can't check whether is it been transacted or not. In fact I plan to just pay my outstanding amount if my rebate is given to me as I plan to cancel the card already due to so many changes in their TnC |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 10 2014, 01:35 PM) Here's the info I "extracted" from the UOB CS That list seems to be all grocery only. And none of Departmental store. First come, first served basis Max rebate given RM50,000 per week [10-16 Jan / 17-23 Jan / 24-30 Jan] Rebate capped per cardholder : RM50 per week Only at Tesco, AEON BIG, Giant, Cold Storage, Jaya Grocer But the SMS written grocery and departmental store. Was thinking to stock AEON vouchers with it. |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ Mar 18 2014, 04:11 PM) Yes I am the last. I calculated, A portion of my Rm26 got it. Rm14 got it. Haha. Nevermind ba. At least good cashback. I got a total of RM4.46 and RM5.06 as smart cash. Kinda okay. Almost RM10 cash back, which means 4.53 litres of petrol discounts. How sure you are is from this month transaction? As your statement date is 18 Mac, there's possibility it is from petrol transaction that you did end of last month.Unless you didn't pump any from 19th Feb till 28th Feb. |

QUOTE(lucas114 @ Mar 28 2014, 12:10 PM) My total petrol spend was RM 300 and I should get RM 15 cash rebate. However, I got only RM 12. In my latest statement, my latest spend in Feb for petrol was on 13th, in March, it was on 14th, and yet it was short of RM 3 cash rebate. 14th is your transaction date? If yes, when is your posting date? Perhaps the posting date was later hence it just exceed the allocation. Seems like this new UOB petrol TnC is getting ridiculous. If not because of the 5% Smartcash for BHP till end of April I would have cancel the card now. Early next month would use up all the smartcash then cancel the card since my anniversary is getting close also. Would then switch back to Maybank2kard for my usage as I can plan my petrol pump to the weekend with guarantee 5% weekend rebate and 5x points (2% equivalent). Unless they can offset GST with some additional benefits than might consider as backup card but even then just for weekdays and early part of the month petrol usage. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 9 2014, 07:56 PM) i tested 2 petrol transactions last month (march) one on 5/3 and another on 26/3. both received 5% rebate. The 5% rebate you meant is for the smartcash or for the petrol rebate?Someone mention here that he unable to get cash rebate for his petrol transaction on the 16th Mar I think. May I know how much each of the transaction amount you did? |

currently I only have around RM15 smartcash, can I just claim all and don't swipe any amount for petrol? |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 11 2014, 02:00 PM) no minimum to redeem smart$. you can redeem even if it's just rm1. however there is a minimum of pumping petrol through cashier which is rm20. means if you redeem rm15 smart$ at bhp cashier, so the additional rm5 will be charged to your uob cc. I thought minimum purchase of petrol is RM30 for over the counter? to answer your question, if you have accumulated rm20 smart$, you can use it fully without incur additional transaction to your uob cc. QUOTE(whitesabre @ Apr 11 2014, 03:05 PM) Yes you may claim Rm15 and don't spend any single cent else. meaning since you have RM15, just pump Rm15 worth. I know very well. Currently I'm using UOB One but a bit fed up with the petrol allocation and TnC change. My anniversary is this coming May and I would like to terminate it without having to waste my smartcash as well. My advice, DON'T CLAIM it now yet. Why? Because BHP still giving 5% Smartcash. If you use the RM15, you won't get any smart cash for your RM15 pump. No cashback also. ONLY CLAIM smartcash at places where you don't get cashback and low smartcash only. Petrol pumping gives you 5% cashback and 5% smart$cash (after 30Apr is 2%). If you use your smartcash, you won't get any cashback and smartcash. As such, it is recommended to use smartcash at smart$merchants where they give you 1% or 2% smart$cash only and no cashback. Currently I have around RM15 smartcash and I hope to use up all without having to swipe further amount. If let's say there's a min amount to swipe at counter (example : RM30). I need to fork out another RM15 and wasted another RM0.75 smartcash (the amount is small but I don't want to let them earn at all, haha). I have Maybank2card to backup for my petrol (I can plan to pump on weekend only) |

QUOTE(whitesabre @ May 5 2014, 12:18 PM) If your company bank-in to mbb acc, you can definitely open a credit card with the bank. Depends on user preference, I'm eligible for both but I choose UOB. Citibank CB will only rebate once achieve RM50, my monthly usage not consistent, the most is about RM100 plus for petrol for weekday (will try use Maybank2card if possible and pump on weekend). Furthermore I pump BHP only.As for citibank, what policy you mean? I find citibank cashback plat much better. It'll take me about 9/10 months just to achieve RM50 rebate to be credited back. Groceries and Telco again I got my Maybank2card. UOB I get it back monthly on my statement. There is possibility annual fees can't be waive also. But again this new UOB rules is quite stupid so most likely only 1st half of the month will receive rebate. So I will cancel the card soon and stick fully to my maybank2kard. |
