ASB have some kind of premium "brand" among people. People look up towards ASB. I expect ASB 2 could be fully subscribe within 1-2 years (take-up rate would be even faster if banks offer ASB 2 Loans)
With this, I don't think anytime soon all those unsold Bumi units in ASW & AS1M would be sold out. Based on my observation & some research. I managed to come with few conclusion. 1 - AS1M unsold units would be "released" to all 2 - New Amanah Saham with no racial quota 3 - Savings Sukuk with 5% pa 4 - ASM additional unit (Maybe 1 - 2bil with no racial quota) All these are to "fund" the gomen projects, maybe for the upcoming $ 3B Mega IPO & others |

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Sep 15 2013, 01:09 PM) asb2 is for bumi who have maxed out asb1,simple as that, i also want to park more than the limit of 200k(own fund) in asb1. This can definitely win the heart of middle class bumi like me That's One of the reason for ASB2, others are for "funding" Mega Projects & Upcoming Mega IPO |

IF really PNB launch new fixed price scheme, I think the same old "crap" excuses / Negative perception when AS1M launch few years back would appear again
It's always like that. Also one thing I realized, ASB & ASW don't list full their investment in Bursa. They would only list the top 20 only unlike ASM, ASD & AS1M This post has been edited by davinz18: Sep 15 2013, 03:54 PM |

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Sep 15 2013, 03:54 PM) i can say not going to happen. And my opinion giving this ASB2, and let say profiting bumi, keep in mind that ASB is not even max up or even have by every single bumi, so the profiting bumi statement is not valid, even other fund is not fully filled eg ASM, AS1M, there must be something happen inside. Eg, hidden crisis such as not enough funds to cover up OR just to "pleased" EVERY SINGLE investor heart that their management is running well aka "pill penenang hati". But we don't know, just my personal opinion. or on the bright site, they wish to have bumi 100 % 8 PA profit, and letting go all the quota status in ASW, ASM, AS1M, so that can be said that bumi = ASB/ASB2 non bumi = ASM/AS1M/ASW2020..... QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Sep 15 2013, 03:55 PM) No, i thing the crap will not happen again unless all ppl are brainless after the same incident happen again.... I think ASB already very2 "big" & cannot take anymore funds. Someone told me there's a risk that 8% dividend is not sustainable in long run About the "crap" thing, we cannot say. Sometimes people are irrational, follow other people advice & hear rumours from their "financial advisers" |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 15 2013, 04:35 PM) Those who give 'crap' comments won't invest at all Yup, those who gave "crap" comments are mostly directly & indirectly effected IF new fund are launch. They the one who spread the negative rumours last time. How I know? because my auntie told me her "financial adviser" told her not invest Oni those who xperience d beauty of ASW2020/ASM/AS1M will invest. Some may 'Show Hand' too ASB/ASW obtained special xemption from SC not to disclose it's full investments Oh like that. No wonder when I see the Annual Report, they don't have full list like ASM, ASD & AS1M. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Sep 15 2013, 10:50 PM) even if there's no cap, i don't think anyone would dump all the money inside since it has yet to show its returns Correct also what you said. Who knows the return maybe like ASD i am skeptical. the ASB2 might only share the name with ASB, but the returns maybe in the range of AS1M, ASW and ASM. if that is the case, i'd rather stick with these 3 funds which have proven record over the years But this is ASB2 launch by PM Najib, I think dividend would be Above those 3 fund but lower than ASB |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Sep 15 2013, 11:03 PM) Amanah Hartanah Bumpiutra (AHB) is also launched by PM. the dividend is about 6.3% only I cannot comment about AHB. I don't have the Annual Report. Google about it also no use and worse, AHB's distributed dividend is not re-invested. instead, they place it in your personal account. so unless you transfer the money manually, you won't see the money grow at all. if not reinvestment, then the money won't grow thus no use investing in it But ASB & others fund always reinvested, so no worries about it. The only worries is the dividend rate |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Sep 15 2013, 11:32 PM) I beg to differ I've no problem with the dividend rate. Anything above 6% is good. Both AHB n other ASNB fixed pricing products gave reasonable dividend rates The oni difference is whether the returns is compounded or not What I mean was that if got reinvestment better, because the money would "grow" automatically. Don't need to think much. If the money return to us, we need to think where to "dump" the money & make it grow bigger. Lucifah was saying, need to manually do reinvestment by transferring the money from your personal bank account to AHB. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Sep 15 2013, 11:55 PM) the dividend is paid bi-annually Do they post the annual report online? it's a hassle to maintain this fund, so i skipped this one. actually, i tried it with 100k investement as the maybank manager promoted it to me. left it for about 2 yrs before i remember updating it. all dividends are parked in savings account, which yielded me only like 0.5% interest. Searching in Maybank website about this fund, I still cannot understand it This post has been edited by davinz18: Sep 16 2013, 12:02 AM |

QUOTE(PainHacker @ Sep 16 2013, 04:02 PM) what he trying to say is that every year there's annual statement from PNB stating your dividend amount & total units after dividend. They would send it to your registered address when you first open your amanah saham |

QUOTE(PainHacker @ Sep 16 2013, 05:37 PM) ooh that one. hmmm i didnt receive it at all but somehow my parents got it for their own account hmmm I think you better update your passbook & also need to update your address. I think the statement went to your previous address You better do faster because there's possibility those staying at your old address would know your Amanah saham Balance & total dividend (if they "opened" your letter) |

QUOTE(titanic_crash @ Sep 16 2013, 08:53 PM) Succesfully transfer a few thousand from EPF Account 1 to AS1M...based from the conversation with the officer, ASNB have locked a few million for the scheme(bumi only as non bumi quota also full)... congrats for the transfer next transfer would be in december 2013, have to be quick..next year would be tough as EPF will raise the Basic Savings Amount wef 1 jan 2014 So ASNB have locked few million for the scheme for Dec 2013, then next year the probability of "opening" the unsold units are high. The raised balance for EPF would have greater effect. Less people would qualified for the investment purpose. I'm just assuming that would happen. Final Decision on PNB |
