If I am not mistaken, it is only available for Taiwan variant, you will see two huge boxes: 1 for laptop + 1 for steelseries headphone and mouse.

Owhh..I thought MSI did the same to Malaysia, its ok but its good to have a free gift like that biggrin.gif

Hi All,

Just to share some info for MSI GT70 2PC & Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headphone, I got headache yesterday to get this work with this razer 7.1 headphone. The Bass was dead whenever i enabled the 7.1 speaker. I googled around to enable the Bass Management but where the heck is this function, its missing at realtek control panel. Finally I removed the sound blaster cinema and installed the realtek ALC892 driver (not from MSI) only then I saw that sound effects tab and bass management.

From my point of view, its better not to use soundblaster cinema software, the bass is disabled in 7.1 speaker. Even in stereo mode including built-in subwoofer, the bass is really weak.
Now, surprisingly, without sound blaster cinema, I can hear the built-in sub woofer which was not noticeable before, very strange... hmm.gif

There is software for Razer headset called "Razer surround" something like that. Have you tried before?
Yes, you can. Dolby v4, unless you able to find the crack one + modded realtek driver.
*
Hi there, no need that surround software because this razer tiamat is already 7.1, Even i use that software it does not make any difference, the bass still dead.
My only solution until now is to remove sound blaster cinema.

hey buddy... you uninstalled the sound blaster cinema 2 and what did u install instead? the dolby home theatre or wat?  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

I just using Realtek Driver only (Realtek HD Audio Manager). If you are using 7.1 surround Headphone, the bass will be dead if soundblaster cinema is installed.

so with its original speaker it wont affect its bass right?
*
Nope, its not affecting and even the bass is much better.

And i have another issue:
The wifi seems to have problem, its drops the connection and sometimes can't connect at all, ping to the ap failed, my other laptops working fine.
My Access Point is Intellinet Wireless 450N Dual-Band Gigabit Router, kind a strange though..

So far any heating problem for MSI GT70 ?
*
Now playing thief (all max) for 4 or 5 hours, temp around 75-85, if you max the fan, its around 70c. Depends on the game you are playing and your room, so far no overheat issue.
The keyboard, palm rest, the surface, is still cool thumbup.gif
