Ran Crysis 3, Battlefield 4 and Titanfall on maxed out settings, AA toned down to FXAA. Crysis 3 ran 45fps, BF4 55fps, and Titanfall a rock solid 60fps without wavering!

Temperature climbed up to 71C before arrested by the jet-engine-like cooling fans that came on auto.

Did not play long. I'm stuck in shitty Jeddah and the hotel I'm stuck in has spotty connection. Can even ran the games long without it disconnecting from Steam and Origin.

Any issue with connecting to Titanfall bro?

Also just got my ge70 yesterday, but sadly cant get past the loading screen with the "ships"

only review i can give is diablo 3 reaper of souls. played yesterday for 3 hours straight, all max settings, amazing steady 60 fps, no drop at all.

when it started hitting 70 degrees, cooling fan auto started and kept temps at approx 65 degrees

Hey bro, what is the max temperature of the CPU and GPU when you playing games with max setting on the GE70? And are you playing in an air-con environment?

Mind if you post a screenshot of the temperature? Thanks!  rolleyes.gif

so far maxed i've hit is 70, perhaps 71.

nope, playing in normal ceiling fan room, but i do have a coolermaster notebook cooler.

i'll post some screenshots later tonight.

from my experience yesterday, once temperatures hit 70, the gpu fan will increase on its own. i didn't change any settings. once the fan increases to about 50% speed, then temperature start dropping back down to 68ish

this was playing Diablo 3 btw, i haven't had the chance to try Titanfall just yet because of that silly infinite loading screen rclxub.gif

only one thing i noticed, once you turn off the laptop, the notebook cooler still runs off the laptop battery, so u have to manually unplug the usb cable.

Ok, thanks bro. Waiting on your screenshots tonight.

I am close to buying a GE70 for myself. Just that I am worry on the temperature as I saw a review, the max temperature could reach to 90 Celcius even with max fan speed.

whoah what review shows/says that? most of the benchmarks and reviews i've seen on youtube dont reach those kind of temperatures.

Well granted its just running momentary benchmarking programs to stress the machine for a short duration instead of showing a consistent gaming environment

i'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but the ge70 does have more ventilation vents at the bottom vs the stealth/ghost series. that should make some difference in cooling i suppose

Dear all,
Plan to get a GP60 2pe.
Just wanted to know that the touch pad really that bad?
owner please give review
thanks

i have a ge70 2pe, pretty much the same laptop. well, depends on what u plan on doing with that touch pad. simple short period browsing/ surfing, it's ok. and by ok i mean its tolerable.

pressing hard on it to click gives u the feeling that it's flimsy. i'm not exactly sure if they have a tap to click function, because i usually just use a mouse.

Definitely a no for gaming. besides, who uses a mouse pad to game anyway?
