QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Sep 5 2013, 03:46 PM) You show my yours I'll show you mine QUOTE(ZintanthraX @ Sep 5 2013, 04:54 PM) i probably gonna use it mostly for highway as my new job needs me to go for outstation sometimes. i do feel the car is attractive enough. i don't have prob with affordability, but the only concern currently is on the maintenance (well i hate to go to service centre lol). Request a test drive on a highway where you can go 100km/h or higher, then see if it's good enough. As for maintenance, depending on your luck there may be a few minor problems you might need to visit the SC about, such as drumbrake noise, rattling, headlamp masuk air etc. But once those are fix it's pretty much just pump petrol and go. QUOTE(jaylim94 @ Sep 5 2013, 08:43 PM) Yep first time drive.....reviews ar...It was a spontaneous test drive so might miss out some points but here goes+ very utilitarian. Apart from the cupholders and doorbins, it even have a tray under the rear seat to stash stuffs + spacious cabin. Center armrest for rear seats! + Huge boot. + Personally a fan of the exterior. + Paddle shifters!! + good torque. I don't understand why people say it is underpowered, it's not bad at all. + Decent handling, but at the expense of ride comfort. I can't complain because my car is not much better in the comfort department. + Gear ratios seems to be designed for economical cruising than performance, I can cruise at 100km/h in 4th gear the RPM still under 3k and the ECO light came on + VSA, kudos Honda. - stock HU like from the early 2000's. The test drive unit came with a touchscreen HU + reverse camera from Honda which you can add, for a "measly" RM3k. - while cruising at 100km/h, I shift to S for manual mode, it immediately downshift to the 3rd gear, causing jerking due to engine braking. Twice I tried, twice also kena like this. - Short seats. Even the driver seat is only 2/3 the length of my thigh. - NVH somewhat short of expectation. It's OK, but when cruising at highways speeds it can become quite noisy. - spongy brakes at medium speeds. I dunno why.....at high speed it is adequate. I almost overshoot a junction because the car won't slow down quick enough. All in all, between this and Vios, I'd gladly take this car. |

QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Sep 6 2013, 11:42 AM) it astonishing to know that my intake air temperature is significantly higher than the ambient. as per OBD reading this morning, after half an hour city drive, mostly idling at traffic light or behind others, the end intake temperature before I park was at 48 C. Ambient I believe shall not more than 28, due to rain this morning. It's normal. Especially during traffic jam. If smooth cruising the ambient and intake temperature is more similiar. |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Sep 6 2013, 01:42 PM) but even with PC fan....when you stop the heat inside the engine bay still will soak (radiated heat) into the intake... https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2721185&hl=Below is a picture I found and which I saw also in Japan during my visit to Honda/Mugen plant. Thay use gold metal sheet to wrap the whole intake manifold. The top black cover is to cover the individual runner only they are removed to install the intake pipe. I also saw a lot of race cars they all using ALU hose to channel air to cool the brakes. So this makes me believe that it is able to reflect radiated heat. Just like our roof.... ![]() https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2729538&hl= |
