Yeah Diecast Empire is currently the worse place to buy dc models now. Price got ridiculous, and stock also takes forever to reach Malaysian shores. Those solo FB sellers that sell only via facebook store are much cheaper.

Get the minichamps 918 if you can find one. The aa model you'll pay through your ass now with rm depreciation. U can find for kdb miniatures on fb or akids diecast store.

i hear now they raised the duty impose to rm1.2k? if it's true then you can import most of the autoart cars from Japan and even with 100yen = rm4 it's still much cheaper to ship here using SAL compared to local shops.

amiami is a good place to get 1:18 diecast.

the highest price i paid for diecast was the AA bugatti veyron supersport (RM800)... hopefully 918 never go beyond 1k
the minichamp 918 is still at subpar level(sorry if u bought it, just my little 2cent)
thanks for the recommendation rclxm9.gif

do you know any guy who help importing AA from Japan? I feel like too risky to buy things oversea. What if the car arrived broken here and there... Thanks for your recommendation as well!

The P1 is already beyond 1k the 918 is sure to be the same. . At least the minichamps is diecast rather than a rubbish plastic overpriced model.

you can continue buying from local sellers.

like i said, buying from diecast empire doesn't guarantee 100% problem free and they never follow up with vendors.

but from exp Japanese shops generally take lots of care in packing their item. if normal autoart you can request they check the car. if signature it's stored in foam so it should be no damage. if there is serious defects they will handle your issue properly.

if you want local to help import, be prepared to pay 10% premium at least. i wouldn't even bother for rm50 to import something rm500 because there's other risks involved. for local big importers, they get distributor price and their margin is higher and any issue they can deal with their distributors.

but for personal use, buying direct from Japan is a good option. they also get faster stocks.

There is some pro n con on composite body. At 1st i feel the same as u, but after i bought a few AA composite car, i notice one thing is the car body shape line are more accurate and detail compare to diecast, joining line or body gap even smaller compare to diecast. Although the interior detail not much different, but overall outlook had improve and more closer to real 1/1 car. P1 order from Akids still less than RM1K. Nowaday any 1/18 easily will cost you rm500 above. unsure.gif
