I think SE implement somesort of spam login penalty on players.
For After 4-5tries, u're kicked from the client.
6-7 tries onward, JP server list kosong.
For 10mins or so onward, u wont be able retrieve japan server list.
This seems to be their only way to handle matters.
Japan Chat support was down too..

Yes, they had a 7 year old mmorpg FFXI. XI director was the same as XIV. You wouldn't expect that it's a problem during that time since XI was successful in its own way. Many dream and felt that XIV would be the successor of XI with better graphics, animation, story. Many wish all the best element of XI will be brought forward. sad to say the director think differently and want XIV to be a totally new game and just design something that had nothing in common with XI.

well, considering that there isn't any viable gil fountains in the game, only way you can do that is by buy/sell or mindless gathering of low level nodes.

How to help with the scaling? it can start with us as consumers - i.e. do not AFK. If you're not playing, log out. Create chars in your region. If ur in EU/NA why congest JP server etc (vice versa)?

small things we as consumers can do - but i bet most if not all are willing to do that. Cos we feel it is in our rights.


And let's have a moment to appreciate the back end tech boys/gals who are working tirelessly round the clock trying to fix the situation.
