To be fair, even if I don't compare to Dell, Lenovo's service was absolutely crap. And that laptop cost a lot of cash... it was a high end model, and this was before they radically cut their prices.

Cut prices in Malaysian terms... because US prices are usually low anyway. The Malaysian premium that exists with most products (MBP, Dell laptops, Lenovo) came down a lot not too long ago.

it's so-so.
when to Kedah's S.C.
It took 4 days to change mobo.
I just wished they do delivery or have a closer pickup point/S.C.

Thinkpad series with on site support is very good.

Y series, just upgrade to on site warranty, service is also good.

If warranty is carry-in warranty, just send to SC run by IBM, service is good.

I'm beginning to suspect there is a plague in LYP. Service level of SC (for any brands) in that building is getting worse ...  hmm.gif  laugh.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

So, laziness and rudeness are contagious ? tongue.gif
btw, mind clarify the difference of on site warranty and carry-in warranty?
and how to check status whether our machine is under which warranty?
