Hey peeps, I'm undergoing this training outside of the gym...similar to Chief's 8 Week Bootcamp and aiming to lose a bit of weight and tone some muscle. I've been on this routine for a few weeks and now looking into protein shakes or some supplement that'll help speed and buff things up a little.

Btw, I'm about 65kg and 178cm. Average build but with spare tyre tongue.gif

Pretty interested in two items so far
- Magnum ACID - increase lean muscle mass & improve body composition and tighten up belly
- Muscletech Nitro Tech - muscle gain and toning.

Went to GNC to get some recommendations for muscle toning and they introduced Nitro Tech. Wondering if anyone out there has a better recommendation or if can tell me if this Nitro Tech is good.

Of course they recommended a Muscletech product at GNC, it's one of the most expensive. Check the online supps thread for the websites of various online vendors.

If you're in the market for supps, all you really need is a decent whey protein product and possibly creatine. Look at the supplement review thread for reviews of various products. Any sort of creatine monohydrate will do.

would you recommend going for supplements (as in tablets) or in powder form? Basically its aiming for whey protien product ya?

Read that there're other kinds of protien like Casein, Soy, Egg and Whole Milk Protien...lol. I guess the basic one is sufficient.

ya, maybe i should ask more details.

i register the bodybuilding.com, so the advice is i need to lose 10kg of body fat. So my mind come out was fat burners, but after survey. Seems like fat burners should be another stage of body building. I'm confusing that i should concentrate on losing my weight 1st or i should concentrate on gain muscles with consuming whey protein.

For the pre-workout and post-workout, the fat burners its should take before or after workout, seems like its ok for both ???

Or maybe i should take any supplements, just concentrate on workout till i saw the result, even it take longer time ?

Between i 175, 82kg. Body size type was average, cox all the while i was running, basketball and badminton. Just now i wan build some muscle after i watch "Unbeatable"- 激战 tongue.gif ... just kidding...

Chung Ka-Fai? laugh.gif I thought you watched Fast 6 want to become like Vin Diesel.

Jokes aside, the instructions for fat burners would be stated at the bottle. Most people consume it in the morning and 1 before workout. Don't know how it might suit you, however.

Pre-workout, definitely for before workout.

Post-workout, definitely for aftet workout.

Best if you ascertain your goals 1st, and start your way from there. Losing fats and building lean muscle mass is two diff direction tbh.

Take protein =/= to growth.

You need to hit your daily calories intake to grow, not by just taking tonnes of protein supplement powders.

Not skinny, then ma make yourself skinny lo whistling.gif

like seriously you need gain weight by taking protein? then you have problems. you realize that you are depending on protein. a protein is protein. eat more foods. i mean real foods.

unless u have tried every method, jumping straight to fat burner shows u have little knowledge about dieting and only seek for the easy way out.

in the end, u wont go far. fat burners are only meant to help u this much. nvr meant to give u 6 packs without dieting.
