I got Gskill DDR500 2 x 1024MB, just test it out and found out the speed is not very desired. I set 3-4-4-8 in the bios, others all use auto modes. Supprisely to know that, I cant use 166MHz deviation at all, even i set 300MHz HTT, 3x LTD, 2.6v vdimm & v1.55 chipset voltage then the PC will hang there when POST.

The only choice i can use is 183MHz deviation @ 261MHz, 290MHz HTT, 3x LTD, 2.6v vdimm & v1.55 chipset voltage. With these setting, i can log into the windows and played the dota without any problem, but failed to prime for no more than 5 minutes! Beyond of 290MHz HTT will cause PC unstable to run the games or even log on the windows.

So what is the problem? Before that Iam using 384MB PC2100, i manage to go at 320MHz HTT with 100MHz deviation, and even can stably to prime it. But what now? Better RAM yet cause me cant to go higher HTT.

My cpu is sempron 2800+
motherboard: MSI K8N Neo3 (modded)

what is MAL and RP? i cant find it through the manual...

and why i want to change the value in A64 tweaker, then the PC crashed... normal or not? Anyway, please kindly enlighten me... i will be back again on next wednesday as having a vacation...

Oh no, after adjust the MAL and RP in the bios then the Windows failed to boot. how come?

i also did to try and reset the jumper... Cant find any value that allows me to boot properly... sigh! thanks that picture.. i will follow it...

@gengstapo why runs your ram at DDR 475? why not higher than DDR 500?

anyway, how to force my mobo to run 1T? sometimes i saw it runs 1T but soemtimes 2T... any idea?

@remysix, luckily iam better than you. with 1:1, the max speed for the ram is 271MHz

Damn, my mobo cant do 1T/2T memory timing manually. Have to adjust the RP and MAL to make it run at 1T timing. But cant find any value that suite my current settings... sigh, poor mobo.

1T, becoz i adjust the RP and MAL. I rather want my cpu speed goes higher than memory speed.

i duuno why that ninja wont help me too much in the way of cooling... loaded temp is 50c+ and idle temp is 38c. By the way, iam tired to play with the settings for the memory. just let it run at 261MHz @ 3-4-4-8 and 290HTT. But it is ok, else i think the memory will easily get spoiled

I played a lot the settings, and noticed MAL and RP do the tricks. Try to mess with those setting. As my mobo dun allows me to adjust those field too much, so i cant pump the gskill to the max. sigh, maybe bios problem...

He is using Samsung UCCC 2 x 1GB ram too but from Teamgroup. try to follow its... I read quite of the sites, found out s939 has better OC capbilities than s754, especially the RAM... duuno i had made a wrong assumption or not...

and seems Team Xtreem @ UCCC users face less trouble than gskill @ UCCC users... sigh!
