No idea why would Sony want to have the shatter proof screen installed. Unless it "might" absorb some shock from certain drops? Other than that , I don't see a point other than some people wanting a naked screen and then ended up scratching up the sheet itself.

Also , Sony not wanting to provide details about the type of glass used , really (Yes , I know it's been said to be dragontrail and so on , but at the very least we want a official confirmation)

Exactly! That shattered proof sheet is the worst thing ever appear at mobile.

Apparently battery test by gsm says that the Z1 did just 6h of web browsing. thats nearly half of what the G2 can do and it has the same chip and battery capacity as the G2. kinda disappointed.

what's with all the hoohaa about the shatter proof sheet? can some1 enlighten me ? i'm aware of it since xperia Z days but didn't pay too much attention to it during that time

hmmm. they didn't list the battery life as a disadvantage. i guess it not bad but could be much better

and good to see the screen is finally out from the disadvantage part for a sony device



seems there's really no headset as well. not that i mind, i got a better headphone for music, but i expect one for a expensive flagship device.

Um, from what I heard.

- Once u tear it off, warranty will void.
- easily scratched
- To replace the shatter proof film will cost u around RM1k+, because it come with screen panel. Cannot replace the sheet alone.

So, must put another SP to protect the shatter proof film.

Don't give fark to Sony, anti shatter just a piece of SP just a little hard than normal SP, why need to change whole screen? Nah, Sony

so basicly its a sp which will void the warranty if u remove it. so why so much hate for it ? y would some1 remove it purposely before the warranty end ?

If can find a replacement SP with Sony logo baked on it, nothing to worry then.

gsmarena give good ratings for the screen. it's not the best, but definitely better than XZ and also better than some other competitors. but they're also aware of the current issue



so i guess for those who wanna buy the phone soon in coming weeks. best to go to a shop with plenty ready stocks and test them yourself.

so... in the end its just the sony wording ? just my own opinion and taste la, i do find the front more sexy without the sony logo
