I'm guessing Manchester United will be using the same UCL nameset as last season?
Correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Sep 17 2013, 08:14 PM) The latest United email confirmed the new design: Nice. It looks bigger than the current one. Thanks for the info pyro. [attachmentid=3633822] When i look at it, it looks nice and fresh, something different...took me a minute to realize the name is straight instead of curved! no wonder... Though i know there will be a new design, it's actually different to what im expecting, because from the original promotional picture for the shirt, RVP spotted a different style of printing: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Exclusive video footage shows new Manchester United away kit is… Manchester City BLUE!
01 April 2014 07:21 AM By Kit Mann MirrorFootball has obtained video footage that reveals next season away shirt - and it's unlikely to go down well with the fans at Old Trafford United Top  It's no secret that David Moyes is a keen admirer of Manchester City, and new exclusive footage shows Manchester United are set to pounce on the success of their noisy neighbours by selling a light blue away kit. The 2014/15 season will not be the first time that Man United have worn a blue away kit, but it has been revealed that the Red Devils are set to unveil a light blue away kit, very similar in colour to Manchester City's home kit, or, erm, the sleeves on West Ham's home kit. MirrorFootball has unearthed this exclusive video footage featuring what appears to be a sample of the new shirt, due to be used in the 2014-15 season, on sale in a shopping mall in Fillaporo, Thailand, where during the summer we had a team of journalists working round the clock trying to spot a Real Madrid kit with "Bale" printed on the back. They failed in this mission, but liked the weather so much that they decided to stay. The discovery comes just days after David Moyes responded to his side’s 3-0 drubbing in the Manchester derby by admitting United wanted to emulate their neighbours. "We have played a very good side, playing at the sort of level we are aspiring to," said the beleaguered boss. Manchester United fans will be dismayed to learn that the first step in this process appears to be copying City’s kit design. But insiders at the club have suggested that this is purely a marketing decision, in an attempt to keep hold of Asian supporters who might be tempted to switch allegiances after Manchester City's success this season.  An Old Trafford source told MirrorFootball that the club is confident that the new kit will be a hit. "It might take fans a bit of time," he said. "But we really believe that the fans will warm to the new kit. Blue is now considered a lucky colour in the Asian market and hopefully that luck will rub off on the team next season. "Obviously a huge part of the decision is City's success as a club, and also their superior squad, the fact their manager has come to the club and made an instant impact, and to be honest, sky blue is just a nice colour. "We can't have it both ways in Manchester, it rains 366 days a year, so we can't moan about having an away kit that reminds of what the sky actually looks like when you take the clouds out of the equation. "Also, don't you find it hilarious that we're still in the Champions League and they're not? In Moyes we trust." MirrorFootball reached out to manufacturers Nike for a statement on what is sure to be a very controversial strip. An official spokesman said that the company will be issuing a statement, so check back on Tuesday afternoon to see what they have to say. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/new...way-kit-3319584 This post has been edited by damnself: Apr 14 2014, 01:14 AM |
