Hey, guys, I saw a deal for jerseys at RM 169 at http://www.milkadeal.com/deals/houseandbut...ghlights-anchor

It seems like a fantastic deal.....but I haven't heard of this shop before.....also, it seems suspicious.
It is mentioned that the jerseys are authentic but then again, with no refund or COD option, I remain skeptical about this deal.....
COMPANY
House & Butler - (002193478K)

ADDRESS
5, Jalan Cempaka, Bandar Sri Damansara
Kuala Lumpur 52100
Malaysia

Anyone had experience dealing with them before?

Any big sized Spurs fan looking to get hold of the 13/14 Home jersey?

I have a BNWT 3XL sized home jersey with PS-pro NN Eriksen printed on the back.
Looking to trade for a 2XL with the same player's NN in PS-pro or selling it at RM 300.

PM me for pictures.

Jerseyman's Review: 1989 Kuala Lumpur Official Lotto Retro Reproduction Jersey (4XL)

Jerseyman loves retro jerseys. Jerseyman loves big sized jerseys. Jerseyman loves authentic jerseys.

When you can get all 3 in one shot... then jerseyman becomes super happy.

When this jersey was suddenly available in ligakit.com:

Since the jersey has collars (can wear to office) and has a Malaysia flag, I just have to grab it.

Anyway, what is the jersey about anyway? It is the home colours of a team known as Kuala Lumpur FA (yes, in Malaysia football teams compete as football associations of certain states in Malaysia.. until nowadays you see football clubs emerging) and Kuala Lumpur basically is the team of Malaysia's capital city. Founded in 1974, they have won the Malaysia cup three times and used to be one of the top teams in Malaysian football.

The jersey was made in tribute I guess, to the 1989 Malaysia Cup final where they wore the same jersey during their 2-1 victory against Kedah. Here are some photos of the jersey worn by KLFA:

I'm not sure if the jersey is available anymore (since it was claimed to be an one off project) but it was ordered back in July 2013. There were some delays by the company that made the jersey and it finally arrived at my doorstep on 2nd of October 2013:

When I opened the plastic bag, I can smell something 'old skool'.. The jersey was indeed made using old skool 'technology' or technique. The sponsors and Malaysia flag were 'silkscreen' printed using dye and the material of the dye must be oily material.. hence you can smell some form of oily scent when you have opened the plastic bag for the first time.

As what was mentioned in ligakit.com, "Precise official reproduction based on actual shirt". The way the shirt was made is exactly the same as how it was made back in 1989 (I guess). The diagonal red and white patterns were stitched instead of printed using today's technology. This is good because you reduce the risk of colour bleeding that normally exists on today's modern diagonal/horizontal/vertical striped jerseys. The sponsors and flag were silkscreen printed because this was still in the 80s. It is tedious but it is better compared to today's PU printings (hopefully).

Some closeup photos of the jersey:

Inside view of the jersey. You can see that the sponsors are silkscreen printed and the diagonal layers are all stitched.. very oldskool!

Back then the manufacturers brand was even made this way, stitched on the back. Very old skool!

user posted image
Embroidered lotto logo on the sleeves, just like how it was made back then

Although they try to make it as oldskool as possible, there are some modern stuff that exists in this jersey:

user posted image
Sizing tag near collars and price tag.. one of the modern aspects that exists on the jersey

user posted image
Washing info tag inside the jersey.. another modern aspect that exists as well on the jersey

Finally, the biggest reason why I bought this jersey because it comes in 4XL size. As you all know, retro jerseys are all made in slim fit cuttings... In addition this is asian sizing you're talking about.. so you know my pain.

But thank god that they made an 4XL for this shirt.. the armpit measurement although stated in the ligakit.com website is 24.5 inches, the shirt is measured to have 25+ inches armpit to armpit:

What a relief...

a. What Jerseyman Likes:
user posted image It's retro and authentic reproduction by lotto. Thanks lotto and ligakit.com
user posted image It's an 4XL sized jersey. Fair to almost everyone
user posted image They try to maintain the original concept and method of making the jersey. No shortcuts!

a. What Jerseyman Dislikes:
user posted image Not much. Was hoping that the DUNHILL EON sponsors were printed slightly lower to make it look nicer

Design: user posted image(Oldskool to the max)
Material: user posted image(They are making an authentic reproduction to make it as closest as possible to the shirt back in 1989. So there is no ventilation holes, breathable materials etc etc like modern day jerseys)
Cutting: user posted image(Sizing is asian size.. so cannot complain must but at least they were willing to make 4XL, that pleased me a lot)
Comfortness: user posted image(The diagonal stitching makes the shirt less comfy to wear)

You can get the same numbering as what they used back in the 80s and 90s. Go to pertama kompleks, go one floor above Q-Line store and there is this shop that makes numberings. The numbers will later be sewn on your shirt so you better bring along the shirt.

Oh thanks for the info. What is your opinion? Is the shirt looks better with or without the number?

Up to you. It doesn't look bad if it's applied with numbering or not.

My friend wanna let go of this Arsenal training kit S size from last season. 100% authentic.

Reason to sell: Too small for him, he bought another M size, so this is still brand new and never wore before.

He bought at RM139, willing to let go at RM115. If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me. Price negotiable smile.gif

hi all,

looks like the patch at the sleeve for my jersey already came off a bit...I've read the 1st page FAQ so what I can do is just to re-iron it? will it work after I wear the jersey a few months and the glue is still there? or I need to apply additional glue?

thanks.
