Just now NTV7 reported say latest news 29 dead and 4 more bodies still stuck inside. They just say express bus, didn't say Genting bus or any bus company name.

Look at the 1st page pictures by TS. Can see the words GENxxNG (x are letters block by trees) on the bus.

Looks like the same type of bus.

I thought Genting downhill section have runoff areas for you to crash into instead of rolling down mountain.
*
Well if you look at TS's pictures, the bus must have crash just after the run off area.

yes, i don't understand why the roads up and down genting/cameron have to be in such poor conditions. can't they bloody make it wider
*
Hard cause its cut into a mountain. If it could be wider I think Genting would have done it since its their main income generator. Btw that section of the road have walls higher than 1ft. Its about 2 1/2ft if not mistaken. Guess if they make it higher it would block the fantastic view when coming down for cars. For safety I would suggest them installing something like this Cable Barrier

it does help in some way.. sometimes it's really that bad that u can't see a moving vehicle.
*
Actually, if visibility is very bad and you are afraid that other drivers cannot see you, you are suppose to use your left signal light if you are on the slow and middle lane (not applicable in Genting road), right signal if you are on the fast lane. Double signal is only to be use when your vehicle is stop.

I think its in the undang text book unless they change it.

double/hazard signal is for stationary vehicle only lar.... with no visibility, u can hardly know the blinking light is moving or not when it move slowly... dun confuse driver when it's a hazardous weather...
*
I agree with you. I cannot count how many times I slam on the brakes when I see a hazard light during bad visibility only to realize its a slow moving vehicle. That puts me and the cars behind me in danger. I agree with some forumer when he calls them idiots.

The left lane drivers will curse those in the middle lane because they do not know which cars are actually switching lane.  Can also be very dangerous because cars intending to join a main road will be confused by the signals.  When they realize the latter are intending to go straight, it may be too late.
*
True also what you say but I'm sure it better than all 3 lanes having all cars flashing their double signals causing major confusion with all drivers not knowing who is changing lane, who is overtaking, who is emergency braking and who is stopped! Remember double signal or hazard lights are only for emergency braking and stop vehicles in the emergency lane. Also this only happens when its really raining heavily with low visibility since Malaysia don't have fog (except of Genting and Cameron Highlands), if its haze then don't think you guys will be outside driving if visibility is so bad till have to put signal.
