There was once i took the bus express from Penang to KL.

Bus got problem, turned into Ipoh for repairs.

Driver told me that due to our country's policy, those bus company owners have to lease the bus from bus owners ( must be Bumi n crony related that kind of thing), so the bus never undergo any service or maintenance until the bus breaks down.
So if the cost is high, bus company runs the bus non-stop because rental per month is the same. Maintenance is provided by bus owner.

Then bus drivers are poorly paid (as the license holders earns the most), so the drivers pula can drive up to 16 to 20 hours a day (PG <=> SG 2 ways)

so if you sit behind the driver, please take good care of him, remember your life is in his hands

the freaking road design was flawed.
who will design a 90° sharp turn with on the edge of 200ft slope ?

these kind of road can only get approval in Malaysia

it's not the first time buses jump off Genting cliff, after they add the extra lane in case of brakes failure still havent solve the problem.

i don't think the road itself is dangerous in nature, with careful driving and a good vehicle condition, you can make it through

there's more dangerous roads out there
*
those buses are very heavy and hard to stop, overloaded with passengers.

no use arguing on the forum, nothing will be done to change the roads anyway.
few months later same thing will happen again

I tell u if they wanna retain the current wall, this wont be the last accident to fall off cliff. see the wall = basic rock + bricks only, no steelbar reinforce one. then no recycle tyre cushion also to absorb impact, so if Langar terus fly over to valley.  doh.gif
*
they'll tell you, hey we added a 3ft wall this time, to stop 5 ton bus coming at 70kmh downhill.

got steel bar also cannot stop 5 ton bus on downhill. laugh.gif

anyway what happen to that proposal few years back to equip all buses with black boxes ?

black boxes might be too much. make it a mandatory rule that every bus should install dash cams or surveillance camera. like the incident that happened in china

no use la
1. bus never do maintenance, tayar botak dont care. bus runs non-stop until breaks down. all wants to maximize profit.
2. driver all driving non-stop.

he halau ghost?

not halau, but to pacify them......

sometimes the ghosts dunt want to go the other side ( heaven/hell you name it ), so it will stay at the accidents site.

then sometimes the ghost wanna take revenge.....

u wanna believe dunt wanna believe but it's somehow true.
There was a junction at Penang always got accidents, then finally a dato altar was raised at the junction, no more death accidents d.

so these things cannot be explained one
