QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Jan 10 2014, 10:04 AM) I know....but honestly it's hard to trust this without any data backup the thing is Lumia 520/525 pack soo much value that even android budget phone have a hard time keeping up. Everytime I go to Nokia store, it is the 520/525 close the sales. not other lumias. U seems to under estimate the volume of the value market. 520/525 is cheap, but does it even sell well in Malaysia? Everywhere I look, I only see ios devices and androids. In my one year of using WP, I honestly only see 3 person use it (and one of them I know use WP based on the notification sound) The only way I can see Microsoft claim is true is that they compare the amount of iphone 5S( and 5S only) and count out all the jailbreak devices, if that is even possible Ur personal observation dont apply here especially u did not know how many ios/Microsoft devices has sold in entire Malaysia. Have u gone to poorer states check or u observe user base on KL bangsar/damansara heights? Hey I have seen more merz/BMW on the streets than toyota in those area. u believe a poor Kampung boy will buy a iphone 4s/5 over lumia 525? QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Jan 10 2014, 10:31 AM) I think it is more likely for the kampong boy to force themselves to buy an iphone they could be combining windows phone 7/7.5 as well. Hey fair also. ios share also combine older version. I'm from Penang and I just have to say that WP is really not popular over here. In phone shops you barely can see people looking for WP. It's interesting to see WP's popularity in other states though. Too bad Microsoft did not release any information on backing up their claim. |

QUOTE(thesun @ Jan 27 2014, 08:34 PM) if I restart again, it will take another 2-3%. restarting OS does not consume 10% of battery. The OS battery calibration is bugged. It happens every 1-2 weeks, which mean u have to restart ur phone every 1-2weeks. LAME! Seems to me Nokia phone is great, but it become imperfect thanks to buggy windows phone. Microsoft seems to take its own sweet time patching the windows phone. They are SLOW on updating OS. |

there is definitely some bug on the battery % within the OS.
I notice my phone is "draining" more than 1.3-1.5% per hour on idle again. Just restart phone, 80% become 92% Lel I guess the live of windows phone user is to restart phone every 1-2week? due to buggy battery calibration from OS? This post has been edited by Boldnut: Jan 31 2014, 03:16 PM |

QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Jan 31 2014, 11:43 PM) Uninstall and reinstall wechat, still notification problem. Honestly, WP8 is really testing my patience now with all apps not functioning well. The fb chat sucks and I often need to go into message apps to refresh the connection. Only thing consistently working is whatsapp. I'm most likely not going to support the next WP version, probably gonna get the next Galaxy. I really love WP, but the development is seriously lacking, especially quality apps QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 1 2014, 12:58 AM) been there done that. Just upgraded to Note 3. Loving everything about it. my battlefield 4 is buggy, it is windows 8 fault! Yeah guys I totally get what u mean. I dont understand why WP its not real time multitasking and they cant fix all the bugs that are there Seriously guys on this case, the only one to be blame is the app developer. I personally think they did not put enough resources to work the app on Windows phone |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 1 2014, 11:51 AM) Yes indeed even i got the free windows 8 keys i still stay at windows 7. Upgrade should be better but Microsoft make it worse everytime. like I said, blame the lazy developer, not the OS maker. Just to use the windows 8 on my notebook is pretty challenging everything you do need to take extra 2 to 3 steps. Since Nokia do the phone and WP does the OS they should have less work but the quality is still bad. Back then i always introduce Nokia to my friend but they always come back they complaint complaint. Same like you guys after that i stop introducing Nokia. Tell them go for the best android or IOS since then we have more to discuss what app is good which is better. What apps i have? What it can do it becomes more productive. Rather than this problem that problem problem problem why this why cannot why no support why why why why The only problem I have with WP is the battery calibration. it is the only thing that is buggy.(quite a major problem really. QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Feb 1 2014, 12:10 PM) True...WP itself is good, but the app quality sucks a lot. It is a chicken and egg problem. A phone platform needs quality app to success and WP lacks just that. App developer will not make quality app if not enough users onboard, and no users will on board if there is not enough quality apps. WP8 lacks quality, even the integrated chat does not work good, and I also heard some forum discussions about the notification issues actually came from microsoft's push servers. Microsoft definitely did something wrong if its own apps work better in other platforms, or they develop apps for other platforms first. I actually kinda pity Microsoft situation. The OS GUI, smoothless itself is definitely miles better than the competition, but the lazy App developer is really pulling Microsoft downI am just a very casual phone user. I just need some basic games and social apps and it is enough. However, even the most basic social apps are not working well. Wechat just failed on me, LINE notifications also going crazy, facebook notifications are slow and non existence, like I say, the only app so far working good is whatsapp. |
