now I start thinking to trade my 920 with 1320... price seems to be reasonable... 1520 sure will be over rm2k++
*
Sure around RM 2400, like note 3. So i would say it's reasonable. But 1320 damn cheap, when compared to Galaxy Mega.
no active stylus, but has that above average camera. Heard the IPS screen is by LG, which screams awesome.

^nowadays there r all kinds of powerbanks, what i find it hard to trust, so many 10,000 mah ones going for under rm 150, dunno trustworthy or not

these branded ones, not just those by nokia, are priced higher & has a lower capacity; This 1 has wireless though

we should get the new 6 tiles a row because the 1320 got it. c'mon on Nokia..
*
not related to resolution; only phablets (which i assume, 5" & above) are getting a 3rd column of tiles

Not really.

Lumia 920 vs 925:

32GB storage vs 16GB storage
Polycarbonate shell at back vs Aluminium Shell at back
5 lens element vs 6 lens element in camera
Built-in wireless charging coil vs none
IPS LCD vs AMOLED

And 920 is much more heavier compare to 925.
*
QUOTE(yap1992 @ Oct 24 2013, 05:51 PM)
And the battery life should be almost the same?
*
I would go for 920 for more storage. 925 has better battery life due to amoled.

Why 920 drop so much? Stock clearance?
*
A new Galaxy S3 also RM 1k only can get; and the wireless charger thing is probably stock clearance. Lumia 920's internal specs which r duo core are very cheap to produce now. It's normal. New phones come out very fast nowadays. See 920 has how many successors within a year - Lumia 925, 1020, now 1520.

Anyway I don't think you can find 920 in store now.

Even the phablet 1320 is only RM1100.. How to sell 920 so expensive?

But the question now is why 520, 720, 820, 625 price din even drop.
*
I dun think there will be anyone who wants to buy the 820 nowadays (and not many shops will stock in that). 820 & 720, maybe more RAM, but 720 has big battery. I personally prefer more RAM, but I actually see more people using 720 than 820, maybe because 720 is newer. These 2 are pretty much cannibalizing each other's sales.

720 & 625 are pretty new so price doesnt drop much. I also have a 520, and this little phone is awesome for RM 500 price.

For 1320 i expect a RM 1199 price tag, approximately. USD to RM is now RM 3.2X to RM 3.30. but, dun forget, 1320 will be released in Q1 2014, and that's in western countries and selected asian countries (not necessarily Malaysia), but 1520 will be out n Q4 this year. before we get the 1320 early next year 920 and 920's price will remain "high" for a while. 1320 is damn cheap when compared to galaxy Mega.

Some ppl prefer smaller phones, i hope Nokia slot in a high spec phone (like, snapdragon 600 at least, with 2GB RAM, 4.3" 720p screen) in the 8XX series next year. Sony has the Xperia Z1S,. which is still unannounced (officially as Z1F in Japan) which has this kind of spec - complete with 20MP cam & Snapdragon 800.

First batch have issues with the heat. It can heat up so fast it can bake the CPU. Mine has that which can only be solved by switching off the phone for 5-10 minutes to let it cool down.
*
mine was 1st batch, got on launch day, no such issues though; i thought dat is fixed in firmware update already?

Nope. I am on GDR3, still exhibiting super heat and massive battery drain if I am on facebook and Whatsapp.
*
I dont use whatsapp much, but i dont have such issue with facebook. That's odd. Are you on LTE? For me only up to H+.
For me it only gets very hot after prolonged gaming (like, 45mins or an hour of asphalt).

With regards on my issue just now, i checked in Nokia website and found out that Nokia have a Live Chat service to cater/answer all Nokia problem issue. Here's the transcript:
Although my problem might be simple, but this proves that Nokia have a world standard CS. Quick check in Google, Apple Live Chat only available to US only same goes to Samsung. Have experience in CS telcos and banking, I can assure that Nokia's live chat have the fastest turnaround time. Another reason I stayed with Nokia.

Keep it up Nokia, two thumbs up to you.  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Agree! Went to Gurney y'day, & my mum ended up buying a 625. 3rd Lumia already in my family. The boss (i guess?) there a see im loyal to nokia, so, they gave my mum 10% off even though my mum was not using a Lumia (but an even older symbian unit), they helped us submit that my mum was using a WP7 Lumia unit so she was eligible for the Diwali period discount lol. In addition to 10% off (RM 939 > RM 845), got a free Capdase wallet over (the prie tag on that thing is RM 159, though i believe it's overpried) & a teddy bear wearing nokia T-shirt. Damn worth it. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

These are effective anti-snatch thief weapons, good to keep.

yup..but i want to know total how many apps that i installed  biggrin.gif

Here's a suggestion: Count 1 by 1 A-Z, then go games and count the total as well. tongue.gif

QUOTE(c2_lover @ Nov 1 2013, 04:29 PM)
as most people with a smartphone, the answer will be "lots of freaking apps"
*
Not for me though; 88 items in the A-Z list (including the stuff that u cant delete like settings, camera, etc), 4 Xbox games, 4 'other' games. That's all.

My apps - 3.5GB, Maps 127MB, Temp. files 1GB, Photos 2.7GB, Music 7GB, Videos 1.5GB, Other 1.5GB. The oters not significant in size. I still have over 9GB left of space.

Can this phone be used in cold countries like Korea, 0-5 degree? Like taking photos? Because I heard my friends iPhone unable to operate when he went there lol
*
Dafuq? No wonder Koreans all stick to Samseng.
Nokia's supersensitive touch is supposed to enable u to use it with gloves, i.e. cold weather. In fact i think the phone will stick work at -10 or -15C without any problems

Regardless of what OS, FB app always a lot of problem. Even iOS and Android users also tell me EB app lagging or crashing is common. =.= Lots of updates never really fix the issues for good.

aiyoo, i thought nokia is reliable... had a bad experience with faulty camera in L720, thought of upgrading to 920. now takut.
*
This 1 depends on luck only, blame China. My friends's Galaxy S3, buy after 2 weeks, camera module have to change. After 2 months, charging port have to change doh.gif doh.gif Not just Nokia has issues.

I'm one of the few lucky ones rclxms.gif My 920 since December last year until now never had any issues, both software and hardware. Only occasionally i did soft resets to solve certain problems. My mum's new Lumia 625, the bottom section of the screen you can see uneven lighting though (backlight bleeding), which is only obvious at higher brightness and black background (like, when the phone is starting up with the Nokia word in the middle), dunno if it's normal (heard it is usually seen on cheaper phones).

920 to 1520 definitely big difference. Snapdragon 800 wei, that thing is a powerhouse. For me no $$ no talk. I expect that phone to cost RM 2399.
I only upgrade my phone even 2 years, now my 920 only 1 year.

*EDIT: From what reviewers say of their 1st impression, it's compact enough for a 6 incher phone. And it feels light despite being over 200g in weight because the weight is evenly spread out and the phone is thin (~8.7mm). When i played with galaxy Note 3 at a shop last time i was surprised it's not as big as i thought, and even smaller than Note 2. Lumia 1520 should be around the size of Note 2.

if you put note 3 on top of the 1520, the note 3 will fit at the length of the 1520 screen, almost.

As seen here:

*
1520 seems only a few mm wider. Longer isnt much of an issue to me. Seems like Nokia kept the size reasonable this time. Lumia 920's size could have easily gotten a 4.7" screen. =.=
