Coin kinda worthless in that game. Almost every "good stuff" requires diamond or jewel or whatever they called.  sad.gif
*
Freemiums, i damn fed up with such games. In order to progress faster you have to buy some stuff with real money. I actually call that cheating (same thing when some FB users do the same to gain advantage in a FB flash game). I also having problem with Asphalt 8, the AI damn bloody fast no matter how good you are, and you earn peanuts from winning races and even if you upgrade parts slowly your cars only improve a little. i already having trouble in season 2 races. I think the game wants us to play online to gain more stuff like money, or exp points, whatever it is. If you wreck you car, sure you cant catch up anymore and end up last. If you wreck/knockdown your opponent, within 10 secs they will be side by sid with you again, damn cheats... mad.gif vmad.gif

There's another game called Crimson Dragon, i earned shitload of diamonds/jewels and unlocked lots of stuff without even starting playing the game - by travelling, since that game rewards you soe stuff for total distance travelled physically. Every week i drive penang-kedah up and down, and last just month i went up to Bangkok, so it's like "Distance Travelled: 11000KM" or something and i get rewarded a shitload of stuff. I unlocked quite a few advanced skill sets without starting the game yet. thumbup.gif

Somehow, i have read 2 or 3 of such similar articles saying Nokia often have top customer satisfaction ratings even today. My theory is Nokia have been pushing all their best devices to Europe and USA first, then we get all those units with potential hardware issues (to be exact, quality control is lesser) like the flickering screen, mic, motherboard etc issues i have been reading here.

Putting these issues aside, our service centers here are lacking in number, or take too long to repair a phone, and they even dont have 1 to 1 exchange policies.

Im alr in season 8.  brows.gif  The only way to win is to buy new car. Upgrade won't help.
*
I just started not long ago. I do have 3 cars. So, just keep buying new cars? =.= That's pretty much the opposite of my style when playing racing games.

GTA San Andreas coming to WP next week. Expected price $7 (that's the charge on iOS). Classic. I already finished this game on PC, but then it was like, 640X480 resolution? Now it's HD on phones. Cant imagine the size of the game...

Tried other battery app and it showed 40% discharge rate..look like I have to do soft and hard reset if the problem continues..
*
Im also using that battery app, and it's not accurate. I simply use it because it shows me the exact amount of power left in percentage as a tile. The rest of the monitoring thingy is inaccurate. The monitoring also seem to only work when you have internet connection - it doesnt monitor when you dont have data/wifi. So, here's a scenario as an example:

1. I use my phone as usual with data on - it shows maybe 4 ot 5% of discharge rate/hr.
2. I turn off data/wifi/both for the next 4 hours and leave it on standby. It doesnt even monitor the amount of battery left (not to mention discharge rate) when i dont have internet, unless i open the app itself and let it check the current amount left.

3. The app then gives you the amount of power left, with the diacharge rate being calculated from the average you lost in the past 4 hours. They maybe they conclude, 3%/hour.

4. Assuming i didnt do step 3 above, after turning off net conections (step 2) i go and play some games for 1 hour. Again the app didnt monitor the discharge.
5. After gaming is over i open the app, and you get the notification "Battery draining quickly, 35% in 1 hour". Then it records your drain % as 35%/hr. whistling.gif

In the case your drain does occur even while standby, that means you have to turn off the phone, wait 5-10 mins, turn back on and it should go back to normal. Some app/process that doesnt appear in task manager is running in background and draining your power.

Is it just me or the windows phone seem to take its own sweet time when doing things. For example opening apps resulting in "Resuming.." and "Loading...". It's happening even after a hard reset.
*
Does it happen to only certain specific apps or generally it's common? It's pretty uncommon for me to get resuming black screen, unless i paused a game, jumped to home page to do something, then go back to the game (resuming for 2 or 3 seconds at most). Otherwise, everything also loads/runs immediately whenever i go back to the app i left in the background without the resuming sign.

Here's a hint - it could be because of flash memory experiencing wear and tear over time (especially if you are the kind who keeps deleting and copying/adding new stuff repeatedly into your phone, i.e. lots of file writing). Flash memory used in phones degrade over time causing slower and slower reading & writing speeds, that's why nowadays we upgrade to new phone every 2 years, and phones become laggy over time (especially android and the older symbian). It's not just because of memory-demanding tasks and apps, but also the degradation of the hardware.

SSDs also have this issue - they are not as long lasting as HDDs, they may speed up an OS but not ideal for file storage compared to HDDs.

Thanks for ur fast reply.
Erm i use avg about 2 hours of surfing  and 1 hour of music. (I do leave my wifi on at all times)
And if i didnt use it for 1 whole day (let say at 12am its 100% charged), how long can it last? Edit:Wifi off
*
As long you are not on data (3G/H/H+), the phone lasts a day easily. On Wifi, the battery will only drain if you are downloading something (like, very big apps or games that are a few hundred MB). Mine is the white one. The black one isn't metallic, but it's matte - not glossy. It is the 925 that is metallic due to the aluminium frame at the sides.

Long time didn't lurk here.

Black update for camera improvement right? Any word on the ETA?
*
I think it's RAW support, but there are other additional tweaks but i forgot what it contains already. But i dunno whether 920 & 925 will get RAW support. Im pretty happy with my phone cam so far.

Shot this on saturday... at ISO-100, 1/30sec, manual focus.

Not so sure about issues with lowyat forum yet, but many websites dont support WP8's IE properly; It's impossible to log in lelong.com.my (full webpage). You will get errors when logging in.

which is quite headache.. Dunno how to pay.. Lol.. I only can pay things from store, not paypal..
*
Which is why Malaysian banks suck balls. Only RHB bank can use paypal if not mistaken; even the 2 biggest banks Maybank and CIMB dont support paypal. Not everyone has a credit card.I prefer to be able to transfer money between paypal and local bank accounts.

Wrong! I've been using paypal by linking my Maybank back account to the paypal and using the Paypal app. No problem using Maybank debit card either for US store.
*
That means you are using Debit card; what i meant was transferring money directly from bank account to paypal account. You know that paypal account can also store money right? Then instead of charging your debit card, it just deducts the credit remaining in your paypal account.

may be in future just straight away buy cheap 1520 when its successor come out. big size mah big lah dont care liao
*
Wait for 1320 brows.gif My estimated price is 1200 - and yet almost same spec as 920, only camera is lousier (and 8GB + card slot). S'pore is getting it already so it shouldnt be long, unless u dun want 6 inches lol. Not to mention, battery 3400mAh, godlike for a duo core phone.

Camera is the reason I go 920, if not it is pretty useless lol 1320 is useless because camera sucks. 1020 is overpriced for its spec lol.

May be if 1020 drop till 1K by 2015 I might consider, but still snapping photo still too slow with 1.5GHz dual core on 41mp. So is kinda meh product compared to 920.
*
I would wait for 1020's successor; it's slow (the general rule, dun buy 1st generation products - 808PV not counted since it's not windows phone). But, if screen not at least 5 inches, i rather get 1520's upgrade.
