I believe I have an orientation lock enable on my 920. No matter how I turn the screen, it would not rotate anymore!
and no, I don't see any system settings. hah! |

QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Nov 13 2013, 11:28 AM) aiyoo, i thought nokia is reliable... had a bad experience with faulty camera in L720, thought of upgrading to 920. now takut. no lah, what makes you think like that? I did dropped my phone a few times so occasional "hiccups" are okay as long as the phone still works. |

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Nov 13 2013, 12:10 PM) 920 to 1520 definitely big difference. Snapdragon 800 wei, that thing is a powerhouse. For me no $$ no talk. I expect that phone to cost RM 2399. Bro, we should probably aim for WP8.1, not in this GDR3. I only upgrade my phone even 2 years, now my 920 only 1 year. |

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Nov 13 2013, 12:10 PM) *EDIT: From what reviewers say of their 1st impression, it's compact enough for a 6 incher phone. And it feels light despite being over 200g in weight because the weight is evenly spread out and the phone is thin (~8.7mm). When i played with galaxy Note 3 at a shop last time i was surprised it's not as big as i thought, and even smaller than Note 2. Lumia 1520 should be around the size of Note 2. if you put note 3 on top of the 1520, the note 3 will fit at the length of the 1520 screen, almost. As seen here: |

QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Nov 13 2013, 12:56 PM) Some great macro shots there! No problem with macro or manual focus, expect non-focused part to be blur. But for infinite focus it'll be apparent. That's quite bad you know, probably because of the f/1.9? See sample from my 720: blurry at edges. QUOTE(noorimanyosh @ Nov 13 2013, 12:58 PM) yellowsauce for the awesomeness...but the tile doesn't always match with the phone lar. White's cover will reflect the lights onto your subject if you're shooting close ups, definitely better! maybe i'll go with white I would pick yellow to match with amber theme! |

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Nov 13 2013, 01:35 PM) My favorite is still red, and until today i regret not buying 920 in red, but anyway white is my 2nd pick after red so im okay with my white 920. Dad is using a red 520, mum is on a black 625. Whichever comes first hahaha, I'm okay with both. QUOTE(guohaolee @ Nov 13 2013, 01:50 PM) do you think 920 will be outdated soon when new model release? or being left out with new updates? like android..some model will not be able to receive new updates after a year old 920 won't be outdated that soon since every OS runs the same. We will come back to this "concern" during the announcement of WP8.1 which probably won't happen that soon. QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Nov 13 2013, 01:54 PM) I've checked with other forumers in L720 thread, seems like mine is the worst. Other users reported minimal blur, which is acceptable. Hope all goes well for my 920 purchase! Maybe you have a special assembled camera module? |

QUOTE(JasonWilton @ Nov 13 2013, 11:11 PM) Now, combine this with Nokia Camera but that probably won't happen because we don't want to see longer loading time for the camera app since people are using it for their shutter button quick launch. And probably this is one of those app that I will forget after I've downloaded. QUOTE(GKWong @ Nov 14 2013, 12:21 AM) OMG OMG!!! The long awaited Asphalt 8 : Airborne is finally here! Bought it! Playing it! oh wait, 800mb. http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/ap...9e-d4704fb40703 QUOTE(guohaolee @ Nov 14 2013, 07:49 AM) Windows Phone 8.0 smartphones may not be upgradeable to 8.1 http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/924...43&pageNumber=1 what a news! so do you think 920 will be one of the phone that will be excluded? QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Nov 14 2013, 08:11 AM) They get version 8.08, maybe, just like how windows phone 7 got 7.8. /s That makes the Lumia 1000 series to be outdated since launch? History repeating itself? Seriously, Msoft already promised at least 2 years+ of support. If 1520 will get 8.1, 1320 will also sport 8.1 (that phone will only come out in early 2014) and that phone has almost same specs with 82X and 92X series, so at least the higher end models should also get 8.1. Common sense. TheVerge has Tom Warren, MSFT division so it's not that bad lol. Meanwhile Nilay is being harsh because thats what he's suppose to do, challenging those companies to innovate more. |

Meanwhile, WP8.1 being tested on 620.
WPDang (Chinese) WPdang cited from WPcentral but in addition from his report, he mentioned that RM-846 (Lumia 620) runs on WP8.1. (Screenshot "vietnam") |

Talking Tom has an unusual approach on giving notifications. Instead of toast they went ahead and create random "task" on the calendar to remind me, on feeding the cat.

expect more updates for both apps, especially Instagram!
Waze wasn't that polish, it felt like it was rushed and it's not the best implementation either, I really do wish Waze has a unified app UI instead of trying very hard to adopt the modern UI, probably the worse I have seen. |
