This TV PQ is great though is just HD ready only, it never failed me b4 in my past 6yrs ussage. As typical good Panasonic model, the black level and color reproduction is fantastic.

I can't really comment how is d PQ if compare with latest Panasonic model but during that time, it considered one of the best plasma TV which is affordable (even tat i was paying 7k++ for it). I believe it was something equivalent to ST50 series nowadays.....

Maybe can try to google to see whether still can find any review on this model.

Yup I mean DLNA... ha ha... I noticed there is also a LAN port, wondering will it be faster if use LAN port
*
I think it won't be faster since "n" WIFI speed should be good enough speed and for watching movie via WIFI is no really a big issue....however, I remembered 1~2 years back, when watching over 15GB HD via WIFI, I experienced some buffering or delay....since then, all my media players is connected using LAN port.

But I think it is also depending on your router because some router has good WIFI range or strong WIFI signal.....

However, you can always try it out using your WIFI......

Hi, just got my GT50....trying to change some setting according to some reviewer from web but I found that some of the settings are not available:

For example: Black level, Color Temperature, Color Space.....

Is it because due to different country model? Or anything I'm missing here?

For active shutter 3D glasses, I think you may not get other manufacturer 3D glasses and used, because their sync signal maybe different. Better double check.

Passive 3D glasses, no need battery, and can use interchangebly between manufacturers.
*
Yes, I meant active shutter 3D glasses, any recommendation? Any brand?

for this generation panasonic use bluetooth to sync with tv.
i believe 3rd party glasses with bluetooth can be used.
you must enable advanced setting in last menu (forgotten the name...)
then use true cinema mode to access full setting.
*
Yes, I did enable that setting, that's why some of the advance settings appeared....however, some are missing.....

Is it true some of the settings only appears under true cinema mode? I'll try it out later....

haha no wonder!
sorry noob here...
if this is the case, i think best is go for ST60.
*
Even ST60 they only bring in 60" and 65".....and 60" you can only buy it from selected store....unless 50/55" was brought in recently....

i will be connecting the tv to a CPU...for browsing and online purpose/online tvb drama, sometimes to watch blu ray movie...hence i m thinking to go for a FHD...no need 3D or built in media player...any sifu can help  notworthy.gif

A forumner "billykl" quoted me a month ago the model TH-50UT50K RM2950 include together a wifi dongle. maybe you can search for it.

However, r u saying that u want to connect the TV directly to a CPU? I heard most people recommend to go for LCD/LED. Also, assuming if connect to PC, you should have a good graphics card that is HDCP compatible, if not, it is not really necessary go for full HD TV......

Hi all, if budget allows and your room big enough for 60/65" TV, go for it.....myself a bit regret too after getting 50"....shd go for 60" instead....

Anyway, the pany plasma render SD content quite good, my initial worry about SD content on bigger size TV seems no issue at all on 50".....even I think 60" shd be still ok...well, will have to live with it for next few yrs 1st la....

But your 50' is GT series right... ha ha... consider high end ooo rclxms.gif
*
In fact, reading some of the review that ST60 is even better than the GT50, but for me, I think both of them should be quite close....furthermore, don't think I'm able to tell the differences unless I really spending time comparing them throughly side by side.....

So, when I choosing between GT50 and ST60, the decision was actually to get 50" or 60". Obviously, I'm making a wrong choice cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif anyway, is not end of the world and is just a TV....furthermore, I saved around 2k....hehehe.

GT series for the price you pay is consider a good bargain lo...
*
Well....actually a forumner told me he bought the GT50 only 4.5k and even came with 4 3D glasses...and it was like 8 months ago.

I failed to negotiate more on that so just settled with it since this model is not easy to find in market anymore rolleyes.gif
