QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 23 2013, 08:56 AM) Thanks for your reply, no I plan to use external hdd as well, but I am just curious, 40GB+ of data need to be consume in 2 hours for a movie, wonder is my hdd fast enough? By the way, do you try accessing any video through network? Wow, you buy 3D bluray disc? Expensive yo... Currently still waiting for the ST65 to arrive, expected to reach September as currently no stock.... so long, but already start accumulating nice 3D movie a movie may consume close to 50GB because of multi language in lossless format, can say it is a bluray rip data. But if u play 1 language and 1 video file or extract other language, it wont take as much space as u think. |

QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 27 2013, 02:07 PM) For active shutter 3D glasses, I think you may not get other manufacturer 3D glasses and used, because their sync signal maybe different. Better double check. Passive 3D glasses, no need battery, and can use interchangebly between manufacturers. for this generation panasonic use bluetooth to sync with tv. i believe 3rd party glasses with bluetooth can be used. QUOTE(mox123 @ Aug 27 2013, 02:36 PM) Hi, just got my GT50....trying to change some setting according to some reviewer from web but I found that some of the settings are not available: For example: Black level, Color Temperature, Color Space..... Is it because due to different country model? Or anything I'm missing here? you must enable advanced setting in last menu (forgotten the name...) then use true cinema mode to access full setting. |

QUOTE(lchee @ Oct 31 2013, 01:04 AM) Hi guys, just got the pany viera P50ST50K from jusco. Then i read online the CNET calibaration. It mention to go to menu and select custom picture mode. However, my TV only has dynamic, Cinema, true cinema and game mode. There is no custom mode to choose. You guys experience the same thing? true cinema, cnet calibration are not suitable for local set if not mistaken. Also, how to check how many hours the TV has been turned on? find from hdtvtest uk |

QUOTE(lchee @ Oct 31 2013, 12:19 PM) Tried looking for it but could not find one. ANyone here can paste a link for the calibration of ST50k at a slightly lit room. My living room has window pane and it's bright in the day. Drawing the curtains would help make the living room dimmer, but prefer a slightly lit room calibration. So does that mean the US sets has more versatility in calibration compared to malaysia/uk sets? reference here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2038683/+60?author=Alan%20YeeHave to find very hard for it but it's possible to still find it. Took me 2 days, lots of road trips. Eventually got a display unit at jusco bandar baru klang. Went to the service menu and it has been on for almost 3000 hours, set still look great and the condition seems better than the display set which i saw at 1U a day earlier. Price was 3799 with 40% discount. So got it for almost RM2300. So far quite happy with it, just wanna see if I can get it calibrated for better picture quality. For those of you who still want it, there is a brand new set at Permas Jaya, Jusco. Another display set at TBM bangsar (42"). What I did for 2 days to find it is to visit all major electrical shop (seng heng, senq, giant, carrefour, jusco, tesco, hsl, d'legend, desa home, tbm, kawan ku, harvey norma, best denki) and tell them to go into their system to check stock if availlable at other outlets. So taht saves me some time. Jusco told me 4 outlets still have stock, Maluri, cheras selatan, bandar baru klang and permas jaya. I visited first 2 no more stock, found mine at klang. and yeah! congrats for new tv This post has been edited by ktek: Oct 31 2013, 12:50 PM |

QUOTE(lchee @ Oct 31 2013, 03:02 PM) Thanks for the link. Will try use these settings later today when i got back home. Yeah, it was quite a weekend driving all over to hunt for the tv. Are you guys here all using this same calibration settings? What is ur room lighting environment like? mine is all day dark bed room.Guys, i notice i do not have netflix option on my viera internet page. I have vimeo. Anyone here has netflix option? I do not have a trained eye, not sure how to spot image retention. All i can see from 6 to 7 feet away is nice picture, even with my curtains drawn with natural sunlight at the screen, the reflection is minimal, noticable for sure but minimal compare to my other plasma set. Any idea how to spot image retention? yup, the anti-reflection technology is good. you can beam a torch light on screen, to see the reflection pattern. image retention is stayed on marking after showing a same image or graphic or OSD for long time. example: ![]() |
