Hi, newbies here, i been working out at home with my dumbell and jogging at outside around 2 months... i always take chicken and egg as my protein resource but i found the result not so good maybe i eat too less on it. Now start to feel that is time to buy a protein supplement which is more convenient for me and i found that Dymatize Elite Whey Protein is cheap and value for money, any commend on this product? i found at musclemania RM160 (5lbs).

beside that i also thinking to take muscle tech nitro tech or BSN Syntha-6.

which one you guy recommend me to take?

Hit your daily calorie target, then only look into supplements.

You'll be probably wasting money if you don't know what you want from them.

If your current diet unable you to gain any weight or show any growth of muscle mass, don't blame it on the sufficiency of the protein supplement thus justifying you to buy a whey protein hoping that it can fix your problem. It doesn't.

Eat more. How much more? You can either find out on the links at my signature area. Don't waste your money on protein supplements. It's not magic powder.

If his current diet is lacking in protein, then drinking whey will fix his problem. RM2.5 for 25g of protein? I'll take that

NOPE. It's calories that matter to bulk, not protein. If you see little changes from the current diet, will adding 25g or protein into the meal which worth 100++kcal will make a different? Don't be blinded with the 'I need whey protein to grow big' advertisement.

actually i also confuse should i do more cardio like jogging to slim down my tummy first, only i start training to bump up my muscle?

Reassess your goal.

Choose either i)Gain muscle mass ii)Lose that belly fat. Both of them have different opposite path, one cannot do both at the same time (unless you are an elite).

Eat according to your goal. Want muscle, eat more. Lose fat, eat less.

Learn about nutrition.

Not sure where you've checked but 10 eggs will get you approximately 60-70g or protein.

Try 2 meals a day. 16 hour fast, 8 hour eating window if you wanna lose fat. Overdoing cardio will lose your muscle gains if you eat less.

agree with him.. 1st of all, u need to know the purpose of taking any supplements... they r only supplements n nothing more than that... ur diet may be on track(maybe~ in my opinion, 10 eggs r just too much), however, ur workout maybe lack of intensity... look back at ur workout routine, form, sleeping n etc... n dun be scared of taking carbs in ur diet coz without them, u may not get enough energy to perform in the gym... without energy, u wudnt be able to lift the weight that u could.... do researches on nutritions, calories intake n etc.... after knowing those, do go for dymatize coz it is one of the best protein powder in the market... smile.gif

1. Using the Intermittent Fasting or Warrior Diet requires you to actually know more other than just eat during those "feeding window."

2. Simply "hantam" 10eggs without knowing the reason behind it is... bleh

3. I've used Dymatize Elite Whey Isolate; I personally don't like the taste but I have a giant bag of it and had to finish it anyways. I prefer the taste of Carnivore beef protein.

As for the OP;

1. Try not to over think, start getting excited about getting fit and do up a weekly schedule of how you wanna do your workout. Otherwise, get a trainer if you can afford it. OR if you are only beginning, you can get a trainer from the gym to just assist you on schedule. The schedule is important because it will help you decide when to do your lifting, what is your split, how much time you spend and how much cardio you need.

2. Start building a knowledge foundation on getting fit. Both Nutrition & Working out.
You will need to know what exercise, what weight and how to do it without getting injured.
You will need to know what you need to eat. For example, as starter, I will advice you to find out your BMR (google BMR calculator) to find out how much calorie you need. Do the multiplier according to your exercise regime.
Then find out what is your goal. To keep it simple; don't try "Build muscle and lose fat" too hard. It gets confusing. You will run into the dillema "If I need to lose fat, I need a lot of cardio & eat less, especially carbs" AND THEN AT THE SAME TIME "I need to eat more to build muscle so I can lift more, I need the carbs so I can have the energy to lift weights, and I can't do too much cardio or I will lose muscles." It gets very confusing.

Start with either build or cut.
If you wanna lose your fat first, then learn to do a cutting regime.
Cutting regime = Controlled diet (by counting your calories, make a deficit of at least 300kCal in most cases, your macro breakdown "carb, fats & protein:) Use a phone app to help you track. My Fitness Pal is a popular one. Do your cardio. Preferably in the morning with an empty stomach. DONT ASSUME that by eating less you will lose weight. You need to eat to fulfill your calorie requirement or over your requirement and use cardio to cut it back. It may seem counter intuitive, but this is the way it works. Let your body know that I needs to dispense the energy and at the same time, be expected to be fed with food. If you are not doing cardio and just eating leess, your body will get the message of being starved and will slow down metabolism and goes into starvation mode to survive.

Build regime = Controlled diet (what builder call "clean bulking diet") Its not easy to bulk cleanly. By eating non-junk food and eating OVER your caloric requirement by at least 300kCal. Make sure you protein and fats are in check. The rest can be filled up with carbs. Keep doing some cardio work, but not too much; you need to huff and puff abit to keep healthy. With the extra calorie, you will feel stronger. Thus, lift heavier. Lift intensely, get a trainer and dont injure youself. Bulk up, get huge.

-- my 2 cents.

Muscles burn fat.
Start with clean bulk then cut for shape. You can have craps but only on cheat meal if you want faster result. Getting fit is not hard unless u're going for competition. Knowing how much you need(calorie calculator) and what you need(what to eat) is a MUST unless you got money to hire a trainer to do everything for you.

Not knowing how much you need and what you need, guarantee 101% fail. Simple as, if you don't know how to drive, 101% you'll crash.

Any brand of whey protein will do the job, pick the right taste and price. Whey protein is always more pricey than raw eggs and raw chicken breast from the market. But will be alot more cheaper and worthy than craps like ChatTime.

Lastly, think positive, stay motivated and consistent.

Do listen to all these sifus.

Research, research and more research!!

More protein doesn't mean instant muscles. Excess protein will be peed out and wasted. Need muscles? Just hit the weights and eat right (preferably 6 times a day).
That said, Dymatize ISO 100 (berry flavor) is one of the leanest and best tasting for me so far!!

The "new, improved" version of Dymatize Elite Whey does not taste as good as the previous batch IMO, but you could give it a try. Btw, the new version has caffeine in it too, which could either be a good or bad thing depending on your stomach tolerance.
