the are 3D settings ( 5 or 6  mode ), view side by side, top & bottom, 2D-3D etc...depend on what type of your movie source. So sad the Astro now not provide 3D sport, last time got on some big football match. I'm still waiting for that.

Watching youtube 3D no problem.

Your room is 8 feet from wall to wall or you're gonna sit 8 feet away from the TV? There's a difference.

If you just use 1080p sources, then 55" is... well, barely fine. Play 720p or worse, SD content and you'll see the darkside of upscaling.
So if I were you, honestly no deal. A 46" would be a better bet.

I think the W804A is a good deal. It's 1080p HD, uses passive 3D (no flickering on sensitive eyes compared to active 3D) and supports DVB-T2, which is the Digital TV system RTM and Media Prima will be migrating to in the future. And the demo set I saw at Sony showroom at The Curve has no lag on a PS3 (comparatively, my LG has small almost unnoticable lag on PS3 but horrible lag on Wii and other analog input console).

I'm planning to get one once my aunt is forced to upgrade to B.yond and I dump that LG in her house.

I though u called it baeyong.
anyways, what is the refresh rate of your LG

I was feeling a bit generous when I typed that...

I'm not really sure about the refresh rate, will check tonight (although I'm pretty sure it does 24fps 3D at 1080p, meaning at least 48Hz at 1080p)

Wow... that far, even SD would look like HD. It'll be extremely hard to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p too.

Just saw one today displaying a football game.

Colours are all good but I saw the movement of the ball is not smooth.

When the players passes the ball... you can clearly see a trail behind the ball when it moves forward.

Don't know it's bad video source or refresh rate thingy.

Currently considering this Sony model and Samsung 55 inch 7100 model.

Which of these 2 is more suitable for gaming?

Not an expert in LCD LED TV.

if i were u, i will pick sony bcoz of the price & same brand of ps3, so definitely no problem compatible with it. as for samsung, the contrast & brightness is high, but its pricey & not worth the money unless u dont mind spending more into the same size of tv...

But how about the ghosting thingy? Is it normal? Will it happen during gameplay?

I'm currently owning a Sony 40 inch V series LCD... I think for 5 years already...

BTW... I'm a Sony Fanboy! rclxm9.gif =P

Thanks!

804A is highly recommended for PS3 Gaming and I find that the setting for under gaming Standard is suitable for battlefield4 and from cnet and most TV forums recommends the us version of 804a which is 802a this for PS3 because of its input lag especially first person shooters...

As for the trail on the football you need to set that particular channel to sports mode or motion flow which is normally off and a native to LED's.

A big Plus for its passive 3d and IPS screen ..too and great screen mirroring with my note 3 and DLNA connection to my laptop as the media server.

and for those of you who hooks up to PS3 and find that with the PS3 on and you can't get the options to pop up to change the picture settings which I had

Go to Settings/Home and I believe its under general TURN OFF THE BRAVIA SYNC settings to OFF!!!
was driving me crazy trying to resolve this untill the merchandiser in SENQ resolved it for me....

Kudos
