QUOTE(etigge @ Dec 13 2013, 04:29 PM) I was browsing around Rodalink (Taman Botanic, Klang branch) after exchanging a bag and I found a bargain. The Dahon Boardwalk D8 is priced at RM1096 after a 20% discount. That plus the automatic member after RM500 purchase will entitle another 5% discount which will come to RM1041. Only green colour left though! thanks for info...Also there's a Tern Link P24 selling also very cheap at RM2.5K. This has 8 speed conventional gears plus another 3 gears internally, so that makes it 24 speed. The old Terns still uses the Kinetic Comp rims from WTB which is much superior than the ones they provided now. I also saw an old old Dahon F10 which is a full size 26 inch mountain bike with suspension front fork. Like most Dahon, it can be folded! Sad point it cost RM9K plus and plus point, they are selling it at 50% discount. Another plus point all drivetrain components are SRAM X9 which is an expensive groupset! Another bad point........there's a dent on the top tube! All other bikes 10% discount. |

QUOTE(etigge @ Dec 1 2013, 09:52 AM) For starters, I would rather go for Dahons or Terns, even the Vybe or Tern Link C7. It's proven and no regrets later. If you can't spare the extra RM200, I think you should go for the Raleigh. Those on groupon are crappy bikes and so is the Reebok which is actually not worth that much. Go to Kimbell Jaya in Taman Hussein Onn. You can get a Dahon Boardwalk (8 speed) for a little over 1K and that is a good buy. Nice geometry, sturdy folding and good ride. The shop also stocks Raleigh, Dopplegangers and some other brands. kimbell jaya / sew leong can try out those bike or not? looking to buy 1 or 2 for my gf and i.... |

QUOTE(danielnet1728 @ Jan 4 2014, 06:48 PM) I just bought the the last unit of Dahon Boardwalk D8 (8 speed) from Kimbell Jaya on Christmas day 2013. It's a good buy as etigge said. Not sure if the new stock arrived already or not as I heard from the boss saying that there is a new batch of stock coming soon. how much you buy? |

QUOTE(etigge @ Feb 18 2014, 03:57 PM) If you really want a good front light, get this. The last time I bought a unit (the shop has only the last unit) , everybody claimed that the shop sold me at the wrong price (cheap) and when the stocks arrived again after 3 months of waiting, the price remains the same. So, the shop did really sold me cheap. I have 2 of these, one for me and another for my wife. Using half power is enough! how much and where to get this? ![]() hope you dont mind i have more question as follows, hope you patient enough to answer these... 1. where to put the wallet / handphone? 2. when cycling, use mouth or nose to breath? 3. how much pressure pump to tyre? i pump 45 psi (tyre there written 40-60psi) 4. i sometimes cycle to buy things, where can i hook my things... 5. why climb hill so tired, and down hill so fast? my taman road all is hill leh, so difficult for me to ride.. 6. what cycling pants you recommend to buy? butt so pain after ride leh, is this normal? thanks in advance... |
