Don't under estimate steel frame! Although a bit heavier and higher maintenance, it rides really better than aluminium frame. That's why the best touring bikes in the world are still made of steel!  nod.gif  Aluminium is rigid and hard riding.  The size of the tubes has to be bigger as they are not as strong as steel but they are most surely lighter. I traded off my Vigor instead of my Speed is for the same reason. The ride on a steel bike (chromoly is also a steel alloy) is much better than the aluminium.

PS/ in fact another rider who rides a Kalaq steel frame formerly also claims that the Kalaq rides better than the Tern P9 which he later bought!

from their catalogue
Chromoly is 60% stronger than high tensile steel, so chromoly tubing is thinner than lighter...
how about chromoly vs aluminium vs hi ten?

it should be chromoly rathed than hi-ten steel.. but not sure if it is the same as the older days hi-ten steel or not. as hi-ten will rust faster if it was not well taken care of.

1. the problem with pocket is already mentioned by etigge, besides scare wallet falling out, i also scare my iphone will be bended in the pocket... i will try go look for saddle bag, also might will look for bag attach to front handle.
2. lol, but i like zeliustan creativity to answer this is thumbup.gif . Anyway i appreciate etigge answer more, because some of the time even i not exercise i using mouth to breath because my nose is not feeling well...
3. will pump to 58psi and try again... using etigge method, i am 6'3" and weight 95kg
4. i will try mbax idea if needed
5. when climb hill i turn to gear 1 is still very difficult to pedal, have to stop a few times in between... and downhill i have to brake because the speed is building and there are cars arounds, when no cars downhill i can pedal in gear 5~6... i think more training to my legs is required, then only i will looks into gears... but i would like to know what is the difference with C7, D8, P9, X10 in terms of cycling? my C7S front gear is obviously smaller then raleigh ugo front gear. how is it convert into terms of cycling?
6. what is the correct riding position, the moment i sit on it i feel is not that comfortable, how to choose a correct saddle?

If you look carefully, the more gears there are, the bigger the rear cogs are. Bigger means easier to pedal BUT at the expense of speed. As for the front it's the opposite, the smaller it is, the easier it is to pedal, also at the expense of speed.

yea just now i cycle again (8pm), when climbing the speed is so slow when i shift to gear 1, in fact slow like i faster if i step down and walk ... i cycle around 10-15min around then go back home.... give me some time to conquer my area first...

my front gear is really small compare to others (i feel).. so easy for me to pedal... but slow... thanks again i learn alot from here notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

yea.. after listen to you all, suddenly i recalled i got a long lost bag i can reuse

i can put my water bottle at side (in fact can put 2) inside can put wallet and side can put phone etc...still have many space left... its bigger than waist pouch but smaller than backpacks... and got both waist and backpack straps... so it is very fit and secure for me..

now left only the front light to hunt, cycle just now is not that good where only can see because of streetlight..

one more to add... i did pump the tyres to 52psi after cycle passby petrol station... its definately better than before pump... one question i want to ask... normally how long time the tyre gas pressure will remain inside the tyre... how to check when i need to pump again? if car i check once a month... bicycle i have no idea.. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif
