I usually take a MP3 & Convert it to WAV using CDEX v1.51, then i open the WAV in Sony Vegas & Set the Vol. to 12db then Render as Dolby Digital 5.1. Thats it.

Yup, that size is right since WAV don't use any compression, hence it's big.

I extract one of my anime series (25min length), i get 100++Mb wave format. It normal u get a huge size. When u convert, it actually compress the wave into a smaller file smile.gif

Why do you have to convert to WAV? if you want 5.1, just render it out in Dolby Pro Logic 2 then you will have 5.1

Tool's you can find on the net to make a High End DVD Video:

1. Sony Vegas & DVD Architect (use this to make AC3)
2. DVD Lab Pro (use this to make advance DVD Video & Menu feature's)
3. SurCode DVD DTS (use this to make dts)

If ur source is MP3, I see no reason to upmix it to 5.1, waste of space only
Its best to use back Stereo and use the decoder to output it using DD Pro Logic 2 to 5.1 instead

And in CDEx, you have the option of not converting it to wav then to your desire format smile.gif
