QUOTE(a123 @ Jan 15 2014, 07:31 PM) According to sps rep, they have tried but relevant highway authorities are very strict on this and thus did not allow it. A very good chance of putting up proper overhead signboards when sps builds the flyover from LPD. Mean time I feel jmb should at least get smaller signs -similar to those put up by IOI Malls, by the side of highway. See whether I can convince JMC to follow this. Most of the visitors are passing into wrong lane when pass by the LDP elevated U turn. The SetiaWalk sign shall be before the elevated u turn just beside the petrol station.

Why Litrak dun allow SPS put up SW sign to lead the entry direction, can they check why others like One City, Paradigm, One U can make it ? All are along the same LDP. SPS or SW is special ?

QUOTE(stratocaster @ Jan 16 2014, 04:02 PM) I doubt just because of missing signboard will cause SW to degrade..... It will definately affect. Phsycologically, if u r invited to go to a new place, and end up got loss and mess around only get there. I believe, u will not think again to go there. Include the one who invited u too will not suggest again to invite any more place like this for next event. Sibeh dulan kind of gathering place for outsider and always 9 of 10 visitors r sure missed the right narrow lane leading to SW. Even next time built with the changgih flyover, still got to squeece into that right lane. The lane that no signage telling u r right way to SW. Hope SPS top guns understand the phycological effect of not having a proper signage to the so call their concept product that has low care concept.

QUOTE(exAkisama @ Jan 16 2014, 12:06 AM) Perhaps SPS reluctant to pay 'special' money? This is another runtuh culture Malaysian having. Always need special money to make things boleh. I think future of Malaysian will runtuh 1 coming day. Look at recent events, our badminton team, sudah tak boleh. Look at our top telco internet rate ranking, listed top 10 slowest. Look at our top leader, talking kangkung story without a constructive solution on inflation or corruption controls. Look at every year audit, sure mess of bocor. Look at our top developer so call, poor in handling their product care services. Not really border their investor clients return. Hope they dun screw up projects oversea. Otherwise, all Malaysian got to bear the losses too as our people money involve there too. I think it ll be 1 coming day, Malaysian will be really other countries maid n foreign labor. The so call "i-kad" may also apply to us at other countries. Just wait the oil being suck dry.

QUOTE(lilzany @ Jan 21 2014, 11:15 AM) IMO, they should just demolish the current IOI Mall and have a new masterplan that incorporates the open space carpark and further spaces for future expansion. Puchong sorely needs a new exciting mall. If only it is that easy... Just demolish the back and utilise the back side car park area and lakeside area to built restaurant, cafe, pubs and many many more innovative lepak spot. Rather now like abundant site.

QUOTE(exAkisama @ Jan 21 2014, 05:38 PM) Not a good idea, monster lizard spotted in the ioi mall lake last year! SourceMonster lizard? Wow, then it even attract more visitors. May be can open up wild life restaurant too over there. Anyway, land owner dun bother too, why us. Later on IOI Mall will just phase out soon only. I hv no share inside. Who care if they dun. May be good for us. Rental go down, foods sell cheaper to attract crowd. Giving more offer too. Or else close down soon as Aeon will soon move out to better place.

QUOTE(ibbrio @ Jan 22 2014, 09:49 PM) one city at least they try to promote the place although it is still early and not completely ready but their building looks cool compare to yellow sw building their tenants are comparable to sw if you look at their master plan they will build serviced apartment and a mall maybe cabin crew will stay at the soho quieter than sw where it is no longer conducive to sleep cabin crew may be young and pretty and party but at the end of the day they are human and need decent sleep but sw is too noisy every day play loud music bloody nonsense either cabin crew slowly move somewhere or they will look like zombie serving you pak nasser nasi lemak Actually depends where the facing. Those facing forest view are not interrupted much by the pubs. Those choose to view the pubs and of course will hv to face this challenge.

QUOTE(UFO-ET @ Feb 3 2014, 12:51 PM) Ya too small. The horse lightning also not special It is waste of money. Bad idea. It looks like sw as horse racing / gambling centre. Although to celebrate year of horse, once after 15 days of cny, it serve no purpose and looks boring. SW should look into a projection of lighting to the wall so that it can advertise all the shops operating inside sw as well celebration events.

QUOTE(Givenz @ Feb 5 2014, 11:03 PM) I think the idea of complains is to let other people know whats happening in SW. And what u expect when u buy or rent this place. I am sure Ibbrio already did what he can, and i myself have lodge report to MPSJ. Again if SW owners wants this place to prosper, either in rental or selling the place at much higher price, then get rid of the noise pollution. Asking us to not to complain in this forum does not make SW a better place to live. Is just to hide away facts from other people. Forum allow us to share information, and i definitely will share about the insane noise pollution u get from 1 particular pub below. And This place has no internet service that provide fiber internet. If someone else would have shared this earlier, I will never have moved in. For those who move out a place just because internet, pls be patient. Sure it will a day to come as the matter has been already raised up and some positive sign. Dun just keep moving here and there just lack of this and that. Solve it all together by grouping of forces.

QUOTE(Marine Boy @ Mar 3 2014, 12:03 PM) i totally object because the students of higher learning dont carry themselves well. Its a decadence of society. Sometime even a company (those gangster or direct sale) open an office here, the people or visitors coming also worst than student. It really depends on what kind of campus will be open here. Students will some time boost up shops here and upper floor activities. Those 1st floor can open econ rice for student too.

QUOTE(ProPStaR @ Mar 4 2014, 02:36 PM) I also wonder, if Bank Islam can bring in Unifi at their own cost, why didn't SW management did it earlier ? If it is about money, I am sure a lot business operator wouldn't mind contributing to it. This is definitely a worthwhile investment to pay for. Glad that something is taking place but definitely had overlooked this solution earlier. Why cant Bank Islam branch taking the maxis fiber instead of paying own cost to hv unifi? Corporate standard? Or Maxis Fibre tak boleh? If this possible, then no use for Maxis to stay in this area as it or its rule set has disturbing everybody daily business needs. MCMC or whoever shall revise this monopoly rules. Who cannot perform, shall be out.

QUOTE(davkong @ Mar 13 2014, 10:02 AM) Those blinds can be rolled up when not in use right? Anyway, IMPO I don't think they are an eyesore compared to haphazard AC compressors and hanging clothes on the balcony rails. Any non permanent fixture install at balcony imposed potential hazard especially blind that it can be blown dangerously due to strong wind. Blind can be always be installed in the sliding glass door as usual.

QUOTE(ProPStaR @ Mar 16 2014, 09:33 AM) It has been almost 5 months since the new JMB took over. We were promised with transparency and a bundle of improvement etc. I wish to ask as of to date what has taken place. What had the new JMB done differently as compared to the previous JMB. To be honest, I see nothing changed. Despite that, I feel commercial was seriously overlooked. Talking about transparency, what had been done ? We are still living in dark. Does transparency about explaining it in forum only ? The notice board has been very empty with old posting. There is no communication in our mailbox. Can they list down the job completed ever since they took over ? I can only think about the EM lock. I begin to be very skeptical on capability of current JMB. Are we only going to see changes when Facilities Management change ? What if the upcoming facilities management failed to deliver like the new JMB ? I guess we just need to take all these promises with a pinch of salt. I m not anyone from JMB. But I feel that, complaint this and that is easy work out of mouth. But when asked contribution, always cool and silent respond. Hope someone like you to be inside the JMB to make things move as you wish.

QUOTE(a123 @ Mar 22 2014, 02:30 PM) Jmb is still trying to minimise any increment in service charge. An egm will be called for the increment. It will also be voting on other keys issues such as location of another public toilet and acceptance of bf/s7 reno on common area. Other key issues such as level of services and security vs service charge may be included. Do you know the 700+ units of residential units actually has full time officers + 21 guards 24/7? This one item alone works out to about $180 per unit/month! Consider 7 security guards per blok, will it a number too many for running 24 hours base on this building design ? Hope this will not jeopardise and create any security issues later as the security play very very important for either a commercial or residential today especially Malaysia. Sad to say this. Each building consists of too many poor design flaw for security aspect, car park entrance, separated entrance for card access to lifts lobby, blok lobby, common area at 7th floor, basement area, improper located guard control room. All these incurred more monitoring points. This is not a bahlia apartment. Level of security expectation is high. Of course, if the head count reduced justify to provide a better security also can be considered. Operating costs concern can be optimised by other means too if with a better design.

There are 2 types at least for the 3R2B unit in SetiaWalk. 1396 sqf and 1350 sqf where 1396 sqf type with 2 balcony and limited only at R3. 1350 sqf at R1 and R2, and also heard that there are 3 rooms derived from those 2 + 1 unit. Be details when asking or judging the price.

QUOTE(Megatron123 @ Apr 16 2014, 06:14 PM) Went to Setia Walk 2 days ago for lunch. BIG mistake. It is so damned difficult to locate the restaurant. No clear signage and direction of which block is which block. Hot, sweaty and stuffy. Security guard had no idea which block is which block and directed me to Timbuktu. Cigarette butts at the stairways. Took me 25 minutes to locate the restaurant. I am not going to this place ever again. Usual Malaysian style, in very first time the KLIA or even any new constructed building, signage is always either poor design or not enough. There are small and guests are not always smart enough to locate it. Poor thing is our hot weather happen to be an open concept of SetiaWalk, further frustrated the guests. I guess the same difficulty if finding a shop or restaurant in KLCC or Mid Valley too. Except they have information screens to help where Setiawalk not having. Worst still, signal coverage in Setiawalk is very bad, make things more worst. When SPS can solve this simple issues which having long time since years ago.
