I think this is one of the most reasonably priced project in Ara Damansara for the past 1 year. Average price is about RM660psf.

Is Urbana the first highrise development for Weida? I thought they r quite a reputable developer? Sorry not really sure the background of Weida. But the layouts are fine. Nice AI/brochures/Video

Not only first highrise development, but the first development project...

The current business is not in property development

Weida (M) Bhd (“WEIDA”) is an established and diversified group of companies. It is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, the Malaysian Stock Exchange since 2001.

Founded in 1983, WEIDA today has 1,200 professionals and support personnel working from 11 offices and plants in Malaysia, The Philippines and the Middle-East.

WEIDA thrives and excels through its 4 core competencies:-
1. Manufacturing of polyethylene-based building materials
2. Environmental engineering services
3. Construction of telecommunication infrastructure, environmental and building works
4. Property development

I know the founders family. They are from West Malaysia. Typical china man business company, with lots of emphasis on quality and also value for money for customers/employees. I reckon they will do well and their offerings will be good. They are certainly into property for the long term, thus, can expect Urbana to be good since it's their first foray into property development.

They are actually from East Malaysia, or Kuching to be specific. Weida used to jv with developers eg. Nadayu previously, thus they might not be totally new in this industry. But this is definitely their first project as a developer.

Knew some of the ppl inside and I deemed they should do well for this project.

The market price is so uncertain, I wonder how much they will be selling the Mont Kiara project for

Is it true they were part of the team that develop Fahrenheit 88?
Also a noob question here, if it is there first condo project, what if they can't deliver? What will happen to those who bought their unit and how are they supposed to pay back to the bank?

every developer have their own risk. if you want to play safe, I would suggest you look for properties develop by big developer like IJM, SIMEDARBY, SPSETIA and so on
