I want to warn others that is getting to this YES FIZ because they are very unethical. I will send this to MCMC as well.

1. Regarding the spoilt Yes Zoom FIZ.
- Their contract is 2 years and they Zoom is 1 year.
- That's okay, I knew what I was getting into when I signed the contract.
- When my Zoom FIZ spoilt after 1 year and 2 months, they say sorry, we can't try to repair it and please pay RM320 for a new one (Without checking the old one).
- Furious but okay. I accepted because there's no other choice.
- Then they say they can't give me the Zoom FIZ on the spot (official YES store). It was before CNY and my family has no internet. Need to wait 2 weeks for firmware setting from HQ.
- Even more furious.
- Then they say please give us back the spoilt Zoom FIZ. (Not mentioned in the contract that the Zoom FIZ belongs to them and has to be returned to them). However, without doing this I can't get a new Zoom FIZ.
- Extremely furious but after few days went back there because not worth to give them the money to cancel the contract. But won't be using YES anymore after this contract ends. Unethical SOB.

- Conclusion, tldr: I think, after warranty ends, they force you to pay RM320 for a new Zoom FIZ. Old Zoom FIZ will be sent back to HQ. RMA and see what's spoilt, and give back to new client. This way they can keep getting more money from their users.

2. Regarding YES Zoom (black) and YES Zoom FIZ (white)
- Have a black Zoom at home when my Zoom FIZ was spoilt.
- Tried to configure the YES Zoom (black) to login my FIZ account.
- Can't be done. Even called YES CS and they say can't be done.
- However, I checked the product ID, opened up and see every component, they are IDENTICAL.
- It's only firmware difference and they did not release both firmwares so they made me have to pay RM320 even though I have a perfectly working YES Zoom.

3. Regarding YES FIZ payment.
- Old contract is RM79. New contract is at RM89.
- Asked YES Store after my contract ends will the RM79 remain?
- They said, no, most probably since contract ends, your payment will go to RM89.

Based on YES attitude, I will never touch YES anymore after this contract ends! I hope I can spread some awareness to others as well.

Confirmed they are the same piece of junk. Just wondering, what was the problem with your FIZ modem?

If you are not in yet, just stay far away and use Streamyx or whatever fiber service. Those are much better and won't cause so much issues. Just spreading some awareness here.

Contacting their customer service and MCMC doesn't help at all.

Did you try to connect it via a LAN cable? The WiFi module in it seems to be very fragile. My friend's black Zoom and my loaned white FIZ modems have the same exact symptom.
