Firstly, this is to clarify the the intention of this topic is merely to express my dissatisfaction against a doctor and has no malicious intent.

During one of my visit to the hospital, I have encountered on rude and unprofessional doctor. From the moment I entered the room, he was disinterested and ill-tempered. The way he answered my questions is as though he is above all others in the world and was very dismissive. I tried my best to be patient with him, and did not respond to his bad behavior but it did not help the situation. Some of his words still cut deep into me and I am left feeling worst than if I had not visited him. I was made to feel as though I am poor and cannot afford to pay for his services. Maybe I did not dress rich? I do not know.

I would personally not visit the department again. If I were to write this to the management of Pantai Hospital, would anyone take it seriously? If anyone has any comments, feel free to post. Thank you.

yes please write it to the dept and complain. we cannot let loose a bad doc. they suppose to hear our plight and and do their job properly. Doc as a profession need lots of compassion. You can put the doc name here n fb also if your voice is unheard from their management. but your desc is a bit brief. perhaps you can elaborate more on it happen and how the doc treated you.

write to the head department. write to news paper. sure they will apologize immediately..... for private hospitals, its all about reputation. They cant afford a bad reputation.

I suppose that every doctor no matter specialists or general doctors in private hospitals are just desired for more money than ensuring healthy condition of the patient. I did have the same situation when I seek a specialist in GLENEAGLE hospital. The doctor first asked me " Do you have Insurance Cover?". (If I have = The doctor will try to charge as much as they can. If I don't have= They will less probably pay more attention to my problem and wasting their time.) The doctor started to behave rude when I do not have medical cover. He said" these operation corresponding to my problem required RM 2k , You want to do or Don want, that's it."

Well, My mind got stunned for a second because of his arrogant attitude. I cant reject the offer due to my severity of my problem.

One conclucion came to my mind, life is realistic, doctor used to be my angel during my childhood but now most of the doctors perceive patient as replenishment for their pocket rather than making sure they completely healthy and ill-free. General Hospital is much more terrbile.

reputation is very important for any hospitals especially Pantai, write in to the head department, I think not necessary for press yet, see what response you get from them..

Always 2 sides of the story.

What had TS done/said that incur the dr's wrath of being rude?

Alot of patients already consulted google doctor then visit specialist and bombard Dr with various question until Dr have some difficulty dismissing each and every one of them until the point of being frustrated then becoming rude?

P: Dr I got pain here, do I have cancer?
D:no
P: then why google.com said otherwise? And I checked various medical sites and the chances of cancer is 13 % if pain there. Will I die if I got cancer?
D: no , no no. U just sprained your back
P: then why I got pain down my ribs? Maybe its something worse. I fear it has meta-what-size I forgot the correct term.
D: (losing patience). No no no. I've just checked. (raised voiced) you're fine .
P: OK fine. (leaving disgruntled/unsatisfied).

I actually visited Dr Kim Tan weeks ago.. I think his attitude is okay, I told him directly my case I will have to pay myself but not claim so do charge me minimal, he is okay and only charged me less than 1k for minor operation. Ya we will have to listen to both sides of the story, some patients always think they are right too... That's y some dr behave that way too haha

I met a shyt doctor at kpj Kuching.. had appendicitis surgery. He never treat me like a patient, and his pattern ike not giving any shyt abt my conditions. I had infection and pus leaking, went there again by flight (from kl).. and he just "peek" my wounds on his chair, and said it's fine.

Phobia with kpj hospital, will never ever visit any branches of kpj unless I go pinjam toilet... fark off
