nice of you to do the reasearch.

many existing vip10 users w/mega are thinking the same - pay additional rm10 and go jumbo.

i just called them. answer is.... no provision for it yet! sad.gif

the officer at the phone said jumbo is very new, so it may be possible later. he agreed that is logical n makes sense but he can't do it now. he promised to check with superiors n get back to me.

the thing is unifi, astro, credit cards, banks fd's - they all behave the same - offer all goodies for new users but somehow don't care much about existing customers. which makes many people keep switching to max benefits, if it is easy enough.
for now, i wait for news. anyone get diff news, pls yell! biggrin.gif

So for the time being, those on MEGA pack, when upgrade to JUMBO will lose a few RUBY channels?

and what alternate router is good for a heavy downloader?
tq

Change your router. I used to download using the default TMnet unifi router, but it hangs all the time. Changing it to one of TPlink's premium router solved all those problems

Hey guys, I compiled a few channel listing for easy comparison. If there are any mistakes, do let me know so I can correct them. Legend:

1. The RED line denotes the channels that are not available if you migrate from MEGA + SPORTS pack to JUMBO pack

2. The YELLOW box denotes the channels that newly introduced in the JUMBO pack that are not available in MEGA + SPORTS pack.

Note: The FRIED CHILLIES FOOD NETWORK from Mega pack is probably not the same as the FRIED CHILLIES FOOD NETWORK on VOD in the Jumbo pack.

I hope they help.

If you move from these MEGA + SPORTS packages...

hmmm I totally overlooked this. Updated my initial post.

Yes, will lose the Ruby, Indian and the premium Malay channels.
conclusion - Don't bother to upgrade. I don't watch football. MTV Live HD kicks Astro Supersports' sorry a$$.  laugh.gif   laugh.gif

On the other hand, I dont watch Ruby, Indian and Malay channels! And I want to watch some sports like the American Football and english soccer matches

I am glad that Unifi try to understand the different types of customers they have biggrin.gif

Guys, what does the "VOD" channel means?

We can watch these VOD for free if they are included in the package, like the jumbo package?

I jumped into the package. From paying RM149 a month, now oging to pay RM209 a month.

The speed bump alone was worth it, now I can even watch the sports stuff without waiting anxiously for the stream to not drop.

It's just a cost of having a balanced life. RM60... ok la. I spend more than that in a day for foods biggrin.gif

I think I am gonna join u soon... so far, I only watch the 2 astro channel via sports pack (that also when the game is on my favorite team) and NTV7 news only... so, I am paying for something that I hardly use actually...  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

If you have the jumbo pack (since you wanted to upgrade the speed to 10mbps anyway) you may actually sell the HYPP TV everywhere logins to 2 people at say, RM20 each? They get to see everything you have on HYPP TV.

Jt upgrade to streamyx 8mb with hypp tv.  the content and pictures quality is not worth to subscribe. I using china free hdp apk.  Their HD content is much more better than hypp tv hd content.

The only good point for hypp tv is vod. You may watch the past programs anytime
*
Yeah but the VOD is so cacat since the HYPP TV hardware is so slow, UI is so unresponsive. If you need to VOD anything... there are other "options"

I find this function is quite gd.  Responsive wise i find its quite fast,  even i using wifi connection. Compare to astro, i need to sit there and wait for exact timing.

By the way,  may i know why my hypp tv interactive system do not hv youtube function?  Do urs box have it?
*
You are talking about the hypp tv box right? No youtube as far as i can tell, even though it is actually using an android OS.

The Hypp TV everywhere on Android is SUPERB though, more so than the hypp tv on the box they supplied. Like I said, thos who dont want hypp tv can always give it away
