Hi guys, I've with my HyppTV package for >24 months now and would like to terminate it (rarely use it). However, the call center refuse to help and insist I need to bring the account owner to TMPoint to do the termination. Due to some personal reason I'm not able to get the owner (my father) to visit TMPoint with me, is there any way I can do the termination without the owner? Or any agents out there able to help? I do have the owner's IC photocopy.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Sep 30 2015, 06:12 PM) I believe a letter of authorization signed by the account owner, copy of the account owner's IC and your IC would suffice. Just take all to a TM point and they'll process it. While there, you can even ask for an account transfer to your name, save you further hassles down the road. Any format for the authorization letter? I did asked the call center whether can just bring authorization letter and visit TM Point myself but she insists said cannot cannot must bring owner

QUOTE(voncrane @ Sep 30 2015, 06:39 PM) Well, unless they've recently changed their MO, still, its not right. What if the original owner left the country or is too ill or whatever to physically be present at their office. I suggest you bypass the phone line and try a more "high-end" TM point and talk to staff there. Usually, they are more receptive to such ideas. As per letter format.... the customary.. I, bla bla, with IC # bla bla, hereby authorize name blabla with IC # ..... to ..... bla bla ... my account. I can be reached at ..... phone number or address for further confirmation if required..... Something along those lines. Its a 1 page affair, signed by you both. She did mentioned only certain cases, such as the person overseas, death, hospitalized then only they accept the authorization letter way, other than that, NO. Never mind, I'll give it a shot. Thanks a lot for your prompt reply ya!
