QUOTE(Fasap @ Aug 15 2013, 03:19 PM) the pen+pencil option for XZU is a bit gimmicky imo.. not worth the hassle to complain. Youre better of using your fingers or simple aftermarket stylus (can get for RM5 if not mistaken nowadays). Still it will make a good party trick to show off to friends.. not more than that Well totally gimmicky....the only raison d'etre for this device is the huge screen.

QUOTE(un_id @ Aug 15 2013, 10:50 PM) Err.. Uncle Benny, you yourself said said it work perfectly and seamlessly as quoted above.. that's why I was quite excited to find any of my pen or pencil can work like that.. But than u said it doesn't work seamlessly... So I guess I don't have to bother looking.. Bro, this thing doesn't have an active digitizer. I was excited before launch that despite the lack of it, it could handle writing/scribbling properly. Apparently it doesn't, and after some testing myself, I just shrugged and moved on, although I still like it simply for its size. Even though uncle benny said it was seamless in his earlier, I didn't really believe it At best, the XZU screen is one small notch up from your standard capacitive screen, and won't take any kind of writing properly. I would say perhaps the correct term may be "stroke registration" since it performs very poorly unless you write slowly.

QUOTE(singa89 @ Aug 15 2013, 11:35 PM) tried using spen on this surprisingly it doesnt work hows the battery life? can it last 2 days single charge? The technologies are TOTALLY different. S pen will never work on anything else other than another Wacom device.

QUOTE(bosouman @ Aug 19 2013, 05:36 PM) using this device on a pensil really need sometime to get use to. Stroke registration is difficult as well right? The stroke does not follow your pencil immediately, so you have to draw/write slowly.

My 2 sen.
A phone's looks are completely non-functional (except for bizarre ones). Since modern phones tend towards anorexia, a proper casing is a necessity.
And don't ever put your phone on your lap or the side door handle pocket while in the car.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 20 2013, 09:26 AM) So poor, that why I always encourage people use case. By the way, the easier way to cover it is using case now. I thought you encourage people to use the phone naked???

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Aug 21 2013, 12:59 PM) Have you tried VLC player to play this video with your PC? I highly doubt phone is more powerful than laptop. In some cases the phone is more powerful especially when they have custom functions in the SoC for video decoding and/or 3d performance. Only discrete gpus in notebooks or PCs can be more powerful.

QUOTE(rayzrblade @ Aug 22 2013, 03:54 PM) How can u say forever when galaxy series is just the beginning. Hehe Note 3 will most probably look like bigger s4. But the mega series already look alike... Samsung having some headache now. Haha That's one of them few things I missed bout samsung which can't be found on Sony. Slide to call or sms. Direct call when u lift phone to ear. Cut screen with stylus. And all those bits from Samsung touchwiz. Agreed. Fair statements. I admire the Sony 6.44" triluminous screen, which Samsung doesn't have. Samsung does have some good usability enhancements in their TW, and not forgetting the active digitizer in the Note family.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 26 2013, 01:45 PM) Off Topic: OMG! How silly DoCoMo are! My Japan friend just get a brand new DoCoMo phone but the phone keep restart to Main Launcher when calling, so he bring to DoCoMo shop and ask about it, the shop try update the firmware but need LTE access! What on earth is this? The package he get don't have LTE service as that is costly! How could DoCoMo did such thing! Since when on earth update phone firmware force people must use LTE! Apparently that is how the Japanese telco systems work. You have to be on their network to update. Be thankful we don't have it like this here.
