QUOTE(Superman7 @ Aug 26 2013, 01:50 PM) wondering why no telco offering XZU on package QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Aug 26 2013, 01:59 PM) Telco in Msia seldom offer sony phone.. Mainly target on Samsung and apple.. Maybe they had no any business relationship with sony.. Exactly, phone prices drop so fast here in malaysia, even at a 'subsidized' price, direct buy phones in the market could match the price in 3-4 months down the road. Beats the purpose of opting for a long tenure contract with the telcos for a cheaper priced phone. So no point telco bring in stock for a lot of brands.. more models = more problem for their customer service, IMO. sticking to samsung + apple insures better revenue stream and less hassle to mange CS i guess. Been wanting to ask this for a while, how do you guys feel about the white background for the new .510 firmware? isn't bright colored backgrounds = more screen power consumption compared to flat black? (do correct me if im wrong).
Myself, coming from HTC phones for the past 2 years, which all have white backgrounds for their settings page, it feels a little bit 'cheap' to me. I was always wanting black settings page ala~stock android for the longest time.
Wasn't sony all about a near-to-vanilla android experience? with white BG, feels like Sony is shying away with their initial philosophy and headed their own way to the likes of other manufacturers.
What do you guys think?

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 28 2013, 09:40 AM) White or Black background consume same power consumption in LCD. Only AMOLED consume a lot power in white background. ahhh.. thanks for the clarification.

QUOTE(Andrew_1980 @ Sep 3 2013, 06:47 PM) What casing you using? QUOTE(Hertz96 @ Sep 3 2013, 06:51 PM) Judging by the looks of it, it's the flip case from Sony. Nop, am using 'ROCK Sony Xperia Ultra Excel Series Casing' like this one.
