Those on 510 firmware did you notice the display does not completely goes dark/black when off?? Or is this the effect of xreality display engine? I notice it only this morning if you look at it closely.

Just use a thin flat end screwdriver n lift off 3 corners will do. Use a pincer to pull out the cable. One end is screw but it will easily snap back. Don't use too much force as is not necessary. My dock still looks perfect n it doesn't show sign of back being removed. You need to remove also the top holder by just inserting the screwdriver at any end n lift slightly up. Try lah n is quite easy

If this is too much hassle just buy the cable only from dx-box n I have posted the link too. Check n google it in this thread. It cost about us$20+ n my unit expected to be received this week. It takes more than 2 weeks to be in.

Why you need pictures? Just slide in the screwdriver n lift it. So simple stuff n how can this be difficult??
I am old chap late fifties with failing eyesight n shaky hands n I can easily do it. Why not you unless you are in worser condition than me

Just rooted the 510 firmware . Tested and working well with Adaway, root explorer n Titanium Backup
Steps :
Use flashtool n flash Generic HK kernel ftf
Use VRoot 1.6 to root
Use flashtool n flash Generic Taiwan kernel ftf
Optional ( which I did ) : download from playstore and install chainfire SuperSU to replace Chinese SU

I installed it after flashing the Taiwan kernel ftf. This chainfire supersu seems to take over as default as I no longer see the chinese SU being prompted and I just leave it in the system. I did not bother to uninstall it

I will observe any such interference further. So far all app needing root works well. Chainfire SU only prompt one time only when you use the app first time.
I don't see any app optimization yet in rebooting

I don't get you. I just install a few new app n never got any prompt about optimization
I just download n install directly from playstore
I don't see any need to push to system since is working with after install
Why don't you try
According to xda you can use vroot to uninstall n root seems working too after that

If you use the HK kernel on the Taiwanese firmware I noted that wiFi will fail n exfat card not supported. The HK kernel used just to root the phone

The audio volume through phone speakers has also improved quite significantly

Why would root affect standby time??
Different people uses their phone differently. So another person standby will definitely be different from yours.
I used more than 80% of the phone on Internet related stuffs ( browsing, email, Facebook, tweeter, RS's newsreel etc) n mainly on 3g most of the time.
I am never bother with the standby time as it changes daily. I charge my phone at worst once every 2 days n so standby is never a issue.
