my L720 updated, got data sense app installled, but don't get 'glance' screen or smart camera thingy. any feedback? thanks.

Yes, some of the new features under Amber depend on it.

my case i didn't get the info in the pic. i just manual update (info fr google) and now i got glance screen, nokia cam also need to manual install fr store.

Did you get a notification that Amber was available? For me, I searched for updates at around 3pm yesterday from settings. Managed to get the Glance screen but not the Pro Cam.

does your screen appear dimmer after the update?

Mine is 1020 so it's amber by default.

is it normal for charging speed to be 28.7% per hour? isnt that kinda slow?

depends on the charger and the battery capacity.

my original Nokia charger died recently, it used to charge my Lumia 620 in an hour plus.

yesterday, I bought a normal USB charger after finding out Nokia wants RM112.70.

the new charger takes about about 2~3 hours, but neither it nor the phone gets hot like with the Nokia charger, so I figure that's better overall.

2000mAh battery from my Lumia 720 takes 3 and the half hours from 5% to full. Using Nokia USB charger plugged into extension cord.

like it or not, this is a sign from Google that WP8 has a potential in the market, it's an acknowledgement hence it will be good for developers who wishes to develop more FREE apps for you.

If WP8 still stand strong, chances that we will get some Google services.

You're already helping Google to earn money just by browsing.

As long as the phone doesn't get warm, last I did some search on batteries exploding partly due to people who use different chargers and use it intensely while being charge non-stop for a LONG time.

If the phone gets very warm while charging, your battery might have shorter life span.

think about getting AC-50X, 1.3A. used for nokia pureview. should be okay or not recommended?

as long as your battery won't get too hot can already. Wireless charging is hot until one day while using tethering the plate blinks and stops charging, not even fully charge yo.

"Charge your device with AC-16X or AC-50X charger. Charger plug type may vary".

so i guess ill get the ac-50x for faster charging

can we customize the fonts, or ringtone (for different applications, wechat, whatsapp, etc)? i tried to find that option but could not find.

AFAIK you an't customize fonts. I'm not too sure about whatsapp notifications currently but it should be possible. As for sms ringtone, I heard that it would be customizable when WP Blue is out. Just a rumour though.
