Since we are flashing malaysia red firmware, means in the future we'll receive ota for the red as well. provided you guys didnt flash before the ota arrives(which is highly impossible ).

anyone have any idea where can I get a cheap mid range 2nd hand W8 phones around Klang Valley? Most of the shops I went to only have Androids or Apple.
I'm a current user of Nokia X7, really interested to change to a Lumia phones after watching their keynotes and events. Especially the action camera and the GPS direction thingy like a HUD, but I found out later that the feature is only available in 925 & 920 (darn it!). I travel often so those will come in handy..I can do with 3rd party instagram apps anyway.

went to test out 920 at Connect but the my first impression is..so boring and bland. Contained within 2 major screen, left and right only hahaa. So I guess I'll just head for a mid range one cos I'm still interested with the camera tbh, prolly L720? but 2nd hand ones are rare mang, even in GS or Lelong.

Any recommendation?

Ya...same here. But at the same time it is just too painful to wait for Nokia Malaysia to roll out the update as you know they are well known for being a slowpoke.

lumia 720 so cheap already...u can get around rm800....why still buy second hand...

how much is your budget??if rm400-rm500 maybe can get l720 2nd one

I was initially very impressed by the phone itself, but after using a real demo unit and fiddling around with the OS, I find it rather you know..boring. that is why I dont want to inject so much money into it first, I'm only hopping onto the Win 8 bandwagon partly because it is made by Nokia and I love the HUD GPS thingy and also the fun loaded camera.

if I can get used to it then prolly I would only go for a more higher end device, but right now I'm not willing to spend that much yet. Yup, around 500 range.

but the additional camera apps by Nokia, I really want to mess around with it. HERE maps is pretty important to me too since I'm a frequent traveller.

not really interested with the brand Samsung anyway.

hi guys..been reading steps mention by evilpuppy abt how to flash to amber..juz curios when download the 2 file amber update part 1 n part 4..and later extract it i got error saying file is broken..any ideas?using 7 zip file manager n running windows 7

RM 500 can get Lumia 520 (RRP 529), might be cheaper if you get in on other phoneshop outside there.

But i suggest you stretch budget a bit and take Lumia 620, more feature rich compare to 520, Got here drive+ (navigation software that works on global, suits you when travelling to other country), 520 only got here drive, which only can be use in Malaysia only).

620 had front facing camera, 520 don't had.

Both had same camera (5MP).

620 don't support FM radio, 520 will have FM radio after amber + GDR2 update.

I need the front camera. Seems like 620 aint that bad too actually hahaa, but I prefer a more squarish phone.
anyway, I'll see how it goes from here since I have a buddy that agree to loan me his 820 for a week.
