By the way, anyone experienced any WiFi issue with your phone? Since last night, my L520 can't detect my own house WiFi. It is so frustrating!!!!! It usually happens to my phone, and after around 7 to 8 hours, it starts to detect it again. I checked it on my Galaxy Tab and there is no issue like this on it

I tried to soft reset the phone but nothing helps

What to do guys?

Well, it never happened on my HTC phones and never on my Tab then why only L520??? It happens after every two days and now it has already been 17 hours+ and then also it can't detect my wifi I need it desperately

It would be more annoying when I would tell you that no one knows when is Nokia gonna release that Black update

Fed up with this. This stupid phone can't detect my own house wifi It has been more than 40 hours. What a silly phone this is!
Previously it was alright that it used to not detect wifi for around 4 to 5 hours, no problem but now it is more than enough! I feel like throwing it out of the window!!!!!

I really love the UI but the apps and now this WiFi issue and suddenly the phone freezes for no reason well a lot disappointing! Apps like Viber and Whatsapp are kinda weak here. I won't consider facebook at all since it is a crap!

My plans were to go for L1520 but now I am gonna stick back to maybe IOS 7 until next year and come back to WP9 if it has improved!

I still would use this L520 maybe if I am unable to sell it otherwise no more feel for it!

I think I have to keep it. I don't have any other choice since the market price has dropped significantly and I can't sell the phone for Rm 250 lol

The market price must be around Rm 500 or so. And the 2nd would be around 65 to 70% of this price

Anyways, I would surely be coming back to Lumia in the mid of 2014 for sure!!!

Well I have had L520 for 4 months. I don't really care about the apps but the problem I have had was with the existing apps like viber, whatsapp and facebook. Those used to lag a lot!!!

WP8, no doubt, is better than Android because of its smoothness and uniqueness but the apps quality here in Android is quite better, or allow me to say, 3-5 times better than those of WP.....

Although the public version of WhatsApp has not received a new update since early January, the WhatsApp team is churning out new beta features, ensuring a massive update is on the horizon.

Today, version 380 of the private beta landed and it brings with it, once again, some fantastic new features. A member of the beta program has given us the following screenshots, though we’ve been able to independently confirm their authenticity.

Privacy control

One of the big new additions is something that is new to Android and iOS too, namely privacy control. Remember how you can always see when the last time someone was online with WhatsApp? Pretty soon, users will be able to control that via the privacy settings. From there, you will be able to control:

Last seen – Everyone, My Contacts or Nobody
Profile Photo – Everyone, My Contacts or Nobody
Status – Everyone, My Contacts or Nobody
Admittedly, that’s a very useful feature. What’s neat though, as mentioned above, as that’s a relatively new feature to iOS and Android too, meaning that Windows Phone is finally nearing parity with those platforms. In fact, by the time this release comes out, they may well very be matched.

Interestingly, it’s not a one way street though. If you disable your status, the app – as of now – also hides your contact’s status as well. So while you can protect your activity, you won’t be able to see someone else’s either. We’re guessing that because WhatsApp just enabled this, users will have to opt-in to have their status shown, with the default being ‘nobody’.

New background gallery

Background images were revealed the last time by us from the previous beta release. In today’s version, the WhatsApp team has added a ‘background gallery’ replete with six well designed wallpapers. That’s in addition to
