I also plan to get 1gb x 2 ddr2-667 tomorrow. The one that come with heatspreader. I am not thinking of going DDR2-1000 though but hoping could go DDR2-800++.

I havent tried higher FSB than 333 coz bottlenecks on air cooling. My proc required quite high voltage on my mobo. rclxub.gif

I dont know why but it seems the stability is not same with cpu/mem, 2.4GHz/1GHz and 3.5GHz/1GHz. The voltage tweaking is needed. At least this applies to my system.

Is there a lot on market value patriot with no heatspreader? I thought all valu patriot comes with heatspreader which equipped with no good chipset.

I bought my 1GB Patriot DDR2-800 with heat spreader @RM165  bout 2 weeks ago in BJ complex. So Far have pushed it past 900Mhz but the shop guy claims it can go up till 1Ghz . Haven't done much RAM benchmarking but my AM2 4000+ rig is stable@2800 right now. Good price for performance i can say bout this RAM.

Try to push to 1GHz with 5-6-6-18 timing. It should be ok. Nowadays it seems that AMD X2 can reach easily to 3GHz.

Dont forget the LYP neighbor, IMBI plaza. They might have something that LYP dont have.
