Guys I'm considering in changing new tyres.. Currently using Falken 322 and 912 .. Grip is ok but the noise is unbearable.. Thinking to change either Michelin xm2 or Yokohama c drive 2.. Stock BLM tyre btw 185/60/14..
Which is better in terms of better noise reduction and grip? And any info about the current price for these two brands of tyre?
Needa do some budgeting since changing all 4 at one go might burn my pocket quite deep..

dares my door actuator kong again vmad.gif
this time front driver side.
IINM, I think should be 2nd time for this year doh.gif

just want to confirm ABL working principle incase Ploton want to BS me
the reason why ABL needs to get the power source from brake light is because
when we press brake, the brake light will "ON" and this powers up the ABL which then tells the
alarm module to initiate lock all doors ?

Fast and furious lovers, please beware.

Yesterday I just touched 180KM/h new record then 190KM/h new record. And then tada!

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

IINM the connection tap in2 the rear brake lamp is most probably used as only a "trigger" 2initiate the locking mechanism of the doors via the central locking of car alarm sys...
Not a direct power supply to the actuators... tongue.gif

yes, you are right.
in another way, its that "trigger" that gives the relay power to tell the car alarm to initiate "LOCK" mode.
guess that's how it works. no need go deep until electric circuit and stuffs.
just want to make my story is right in case Ploton argue with me though the last actuator, I have got it changed with no questions asked.

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Me hv been, was & still is...in a bind as 2wat my nxt set/replacement tyres shld be...

As is, me hv chk-ed on review after review...
Read opinions of Forummers here & in other forums...
But each step takes me farther & farther away from wat my decision shld be...rclxub.gif

To hv more choices of "better" tyres, one needs 2hv suitable rims...
Definitely NOT stock rims..which is a compromise...as everything else in this world... rolleyes.gif
Doing so wld bring up lots of more questions, etc...AND a host of probs, too!!

Finally, one wld hv 2face the bare truth staring at us all the time...
Juz need 2answer a simple question...

Wat are we gonna use the car for? Most of the time...

There will alwaz b Pros & Cons in EVERY choice.
Make yr choice fit yr Topmost Priority...

Only way 2go...

Good luck, Bro! cheers.gif

Don't waste your gas, I have tried to explain to them how ABL works - It is only plugged to the alarm module, does not directly affect the actuators at all. If they refuse to honor your claim after you explain how it works, what are you gonna do?

Just remove it before claim, save time save energy. Otherwise look for a SC who is willing to overlook the ABL and claim for you.

congratulate for your new car
During your 1000km, drive carefully, both of you n car not familiar to each other. gear? try a few more days loh.
braking issue, might be wet, tyre n brake pad too new, need to run-in.
just jot down all your ??? n a paper, in the 1000km service, refer them to SC.

Thanks! smile.gif
Yah observing a few days and jolting down, my boot is a little hard to close required force to bang in

QUOTE(calvin_kenni @ Aug 18 2013, 12:35 AM)
experienced this before, and some gaga-ers told that our gaga tarak synchronizer..
exact mechanism i tarak tau..
tapi janji the sound comes when you suddenly engage reverse gear when your car is still moving forward (although a bit only)..
next time just brake til the car stop fully first before engaging reverse gear

and pls get rid of that m3 asap sweat.gif
*
Yah when car is forward abit it will have that sound & when i engage fast even when stationery,so in order to not have that sound is to make sure i engage slowly in.

Does ur gear knob have vibrations when crusing(cause when i use my bro car i usually rest my left hand on the gear knob, but on saga i prefer to put somewhere else if long distance)?u got the moving gear knob effect when acceralating?is it due to our gear using Cable(guessing not sure)?

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 18 2013, 01:31 AM)
Depending on your luck, the tak sound may or may not be a prelude to the infamous drumbrake sound plaguing the FLX. Just continue to monitor and see.

Your tire squeal may be due to the M3s.

Yes all FLX manual uses the Getrag gearbox.

Congraz on your new car ! rclxm9.gif
*
Haha thanks! But repeated question, the vibrations and moving effect when acceralating is common?
If our Getrag gearbox is 3k Rpm = 90km/hr , is'nt the blm 3k rpm = ard 80km/hr i guess?

What are you comparing to? Vios? City? Rio?

Does any of those cars offer 6 airbags across the line (Executive & Premium). do they have multilink rear suspension set up? How do they handle? Oh wait, they dont.

You are a TYPICAL Malaysian. Comparing car prices, NOT car segments. smh

You try and see la.

Words cannot describe that feel. I came to expect more from the Preve, considering its a new replacement model for the Persona. But pfft, that gearshift was horrible.
