To me 10K interval with semi synthetic is totally fine. At 5k, the oil still looks brand new

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 11 2013, 08:26 PM) so far, i've yet to experience a SS EO that can past 5k km without me complaining on the engine response/smoothness. I stay within 4-5k RPM. So far haven't used an engine oil until it deteriorates and feel sluggish.not even LM MOS2 lol. QUOTE(fghvbn @ Aug 11 2013, 10:11 PM) Passenger tyres are rated up to 44 psi. 30-ish is not high. |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 12 2013, 12:59 AM) When I was a car noob, I once ran all 4 tires on 43psi / 300kpa, because on the tire it says that was the maximum pressure. Even when I'm not a car noob, I also tried. Actually not too bad, except that it's really more bouncy when going through pot holes. Tried it for about 2 weeks, still very even tyre wear and good feedback. |

I didn't put 43 psi, just 42 psi. Haha. I guess your swollen tyre is because of hitting pothole. Mine is totally fine

Only got once in North South Expressway.
In KL highway, you'll know where the speedtraps are. Look out for the radio car that stopped under the bridge |

QUOTE(fghvbn @ Aug 12 2013, 11:35 AM) sometimes no radio car at all ... the polis just sit under the divider waiting with the speed camera already I don't know about you but usually I'll notice either radio car or opposite cars signalling.QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 12 2013, 11:35 AM) I haven't decide on the ECU management yet. Standalone or piggyback. Piggyback drawback is no full ignition/fuel mapping control. Standalone drawback is, more cutting on ECU harness, original ECU must be running together with standalone ECU for aircon/AT to work. Meter cluster probably screw up because original ECU lost signals after cutting so many wires from it.And finally, I'm sure very hard to sell the car after these modifications. QUOTE(TitanRev @ Aug 12 2013, 12:35 PM) You should be happy about it that gaga 1 bar left still got fuel..The old Avanza more teruk..Fuel gauge not yet point to E car already no fuel and engine die....this was due to the fuel tank lower pan design is all separated although still got fuel the fuel can't get suck up by the fuel pump.... Perhaps only specific standalone. Megasquirt may or may not be able to do it with its ready-available firmware. Moreover I'm on AT, I need ECU to signal it.Standalone can control your AC also. Standalone can replace your stock ECU and become your new ECU. You want to find a good person to do the job find GT Auto at Sunway. They are very good at it. |

Guys, when I make a hard left corner at speeds over 100km/h, my left tyres are the one that screech. I thought the right tyres should be the one screeching with all the weight transferred to the right?

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 12 2013, 05:02 PM) it means you're driving a track car at almost 0 weight transfer/roll. It's my Persona. No braking applied at that time, just whack the corner only.on a serious note, it could be uneven braking/locking that occurred? (assuming the sound you heard is indeed the tires and it is coming from left side) |

I took the corner again, quite confirm the screeching tyre is left tyre at left turn. It is the LDP turn near tractors Malaysia. It's super smooth curve over there, feels like made for speed.
I do still throttle while doing the curve. Maybe when weight shifted, the left tyre spun more. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Aug 12 2013, 09:26 PM |

Does campro have TPS (throttle position sensor)?
I was just reading that TPS is not compulsory for ECU but without TPS, there will be such delay because the ECU can only react after seeing manifold air flow increase. |
