Hi.
I have a D7000 and recently I've purchased a Nikon 80-200 2.8D ED used.
After testing out some shots with the lens, there is a major front focusing issue going on. Manual focus was great.
A first I thought it was the camera. So I used AF fine tune to correct it but it doesn't help.
Then I change lenses, used my tamron 17-50 and to my surprise, the AF was having no problem at all. No front or back focusing.
I'm not very good at the technicality of my gadgets. As long as i can use them properly, thats good enough for me.

The questions i would like some answers are as follows.
1. Is it the 80-200 that needs servicing or is it my camera?
2. If either the lens or the body needs servicing, where is the nearest I can go since I'm in Puchong?
3. How much would it cost me to have the lens serviced? Not exact amount but estimation.
4. How long would it take for servicing cos I need to get it done faster as I'm leaving for Sarawak on the 14 of August.

I would appreciate all the help and recommendation. I would also hope no critics would come by as I'm looking for solution and not tension.

Maybe you should try bring it to nikon center if the warranty is still valid, else bring to some professional which they are better in these... Hope this helps
